Netherland & Switzerland, 99% coverage and no public plan, but insurance companies are regulated like utility companies. Taiwan & Singapore have best medical care system in the world, 99% coverage, high quality, NO WAITING, and they are government run with less 5% GDP. Unreasonable premium, preexisting condition exclusion, changing drug formulary, deny treatment, medicare drug GAP for Senior are just plain wrong. Come on my fellow American, let us fix the healthcare for our children sakes!
Anyone who thinks that the experts are always right is doing themseleves and their family a great disservice. I've met many people likke this and their are many in my family. They are skeptikal of everything but when it comes to the 'experts' all of a sudden their word is gospel. People need to wake up and realize thhat they have so much information at their fingertips. The experts are not always lying or out to get you but do your own thorough research and then make your decision fullyInformed
I have yet to view one of your videos that I did not enjoy or that I found not to educate me on a subject of significant importance to one and all. You are now on my "Persons of Good Will" list. I wish you well Sir!
It's "Fro-lick" but it is a wonderful commentary on (shock) common sense. And as for nurses being paid to hand out formula--it's even worse because those who do are doing marketing for the formula multinationals for FREE! And then they discuss it as a "choice" issue. Thanks, Loren.
Dude, I have viewed several of your videos. I feel comfortable in saying you are far too grounded, educated, rational and articulate to be posting on youtube. Heresy I tell you! LOL.
As for this video, you trumpet intuition and common sense. --how ridiculous :)
Well I was not breast fed and I am totaly unatural. I have never been able to process unprocessed food. I ingest aspertane and lotsa of MSG. I blame a lot of my troubles with not getting the nipple when I needed it.
Exactly. What we need is more common sense and less government. The government will never make laws that do not put money in their pockets in some way. In fact, I would say the government is a lot less responsible towards citizens (consumers) than a typical corporation. What makes the government scary is they continue to make money no matter how terrible the services they provide... thats something a corporation can't get away with. The gov't wants to own you from cradle to grave too.
How can that be true if theres no one person in the government which profits at your expense (unlike shareholders in a corporation), wheres the motivation? Granted the civil service is a reasonably well paid job but they don't get a pay rise if they tax you to death.
I'm all for constructive critisicm but not when it's both hysterical and nonsensical
Another thing I wanted to add, I've heard from nurses that hospitals actually get paid, in cash & in expensive gifts to hand out "free samples" of this artifical milk. When women don't nurse right away, the milk won't "come in" as well, causing the mother to believe she doesn't make enough and gives up. The key to successful breastfeeding is #1-support, on demand nursing the first few weeks and not giving the baby any artifical nipples right away. Thanks again for the GREAT video!!
Excellent reporting..... your point about personal responsibility should have this caveat, though.....remember that these multinational corporations spend BILLIONS on "media mind kontrol" techniques" (see the "Century of the Self" Youtube video series about Edward Bernays for more info)..... so viewers shouldn't be too hard on themselves for sometimes succumbing to this ubiquitous propaganda...
The author's point about personal responsibility is well taken, though! Thanks -- great job.
Here in the Philippines the commercials say "Breast milk is still best for babies up to two years and beyond". Though it's not consistent. Some commercials say it some don't.
Another thing is that honey has a warning not feed it to newborns. I've heard from elders that honey natural and is safe to feed to newborns. Who should I believe.
there is no reason to ever ingest honey. it is of no real value nutritionally or otherwise especially to those not living in the middle of nowhere, starving. to diabetics and those with diabetic-like problems such as myself, it's very bad.
Why am I not surprised any more? Im more astonished now to find smth that does not harm you that was approved by FDA, than to find smth that does.
With regards to the subject, google - Rocket Fuel Chemical Found in Baby Formula.
Even more cheerful news, eh?

Baby formula is the devil. Seriously.
Babies gain a large chunk of their immunities from breast milk.
