  • How come we don't show that it's usually the woman and all her estrogen that is the cause of obesity in America, it has been studied that women are 76% more likely to be obese than a man of the same age, doesn't seem like these eating disorders are working, it seems like they are having a blow back effect like the CIA had with Iran.

  • Nice bit of sexist BS from an ignorant company. Simple solution... don’t buy their product.

  • thanks again feminists

  • "The Unknown History of MISANDRY" --- Google it!

  • lol, the diapers at the beginning was confusing

  • I'm a man and I think that this commercial is funny. Y'all need to lighten up. There's more serious men's rights issues than a commercial about a man eating too much bad food.

  • Funny how when women CAN'T defend their arguments they make up stuff or go on personal attacks.....Great way to show the "superiority" of your gender....

  • @rang3r34 Who ever said women were superior?

  • @kipkayify Feminazis and other loser women....

  • @rang3r34 Ah, I understand. I just want to let you know that there are many women who appreciate men and would never call women the "superior" gender. Myself included ^_^

I'm sure you've noticed that nowadays, Feminiazis are getting proper criticism for their actions.

  • @kipkayify Yes, I have! I'm VERY glad many women are waking up and calling them out via the internet, books and in distinguished magazines. I'm glad there are a emerging group of women who KNOW we will go nowhere without working together EQUALLY!

  • @rang3r34 Totally agreed. Men and women need to appreciate and respect their differences and realize that we would be nowhere without the two genders. You're a good guy - understanding and critical. We need more like you in this world.

  • @kipkayify REEEAAAALY need more women like YOU! Too many women have bought into feminist lies whether directly or indirectly! As men we can do alot, but it will be women who will deliver the killing blow psycho females! When women stand up and say that feminists helped ruin society and women will no longer listen to their rantings.

  • @rang3r34 Yep. Feminists are pretty untouchable in society - if you don't buy into their propaganda you're either a male chauvinist or a self-hating female with daddy issues. It really needs to stop. There's no more distinction or appreciating between men and women anymore thanks to Feminism. As of now, I'm hoping for their bull to die down as more people open their eyes before this country collapses.

  • @kipkayify THAT'S IT!! You. Me. Married. NOW!!!!! I don't care if you are seeing someone or already marrried. Just tell them it's all for the good of the human race and Western society.........I'm sure they'll understand....;)

  • @rang3r34 Buahahaha well, us smart folks gotta stick together XD

  • people, come on, it's just some dude who's (probably) got the munchies and eaten a lot of stupid stuff. Think about kebabs after a night on the booze, they taste real fuckin good when you're eating them, but ten minutes later it's a nightmare keeping them down. is that misandry?

Like misandry is even a problem in this world run by wealthy white heterosexual American males anyway. check out that clearly white, heterosexual man who just ate all that junk. what a silly fellow.

    have a cup of cement.

  • @BrEnNo1023 , wake up and smell the coffee. The most powerful man in the entire world might be heterosexual and might be a man, but he most certainly is not white.

  • oh come on that's not misandry

  • @thedfdivino take a slice of shut the f.*.c.k up .. keep that sewer hole in your face shut!

  • @MsMuffDiva Why should he?

  • take a slice of shut the f.*.c.k up

  • @TheDfdivino your are a moron ... respond? you are assuming you wrote something to respond to ... i wrote my thoughts as you wrote yours little guy ... now go and get your milk & cookies.

  • @LorenaBobbitFan If you weren't replying to me why hit the reply button? Why would I want to hear your feminazi bullshit thoughts?

  • @dangraphic FUCK YOU, COCK SUCKER ... i am a full fledged dyke & loving it ... now go & get your usual, up the sh*thole ... btw, you are a moron.

  • Respond to this video... FEMINISM ROCKS! capsfan473 sucks.

  • these is a fab commercial ... i will buy their product ... & switch to their brand, as well as bring my friends ... great commercial!

  • @capsfan473 you suck & all the stupid males that voted with you

  • This dumbass white man ate dog treats; now if you think there isn't an agenda at work, lets make it a black man and see the outrage. The jew media needs to think of something better. Stop trying to bring up the most savage blk bastards in the world via the media.

  • like:dislike - 15:13?

awareness about chaos? maybe chaos itself? or maybe... awareness to the chaotic. eh?

  • I don't have a problem with women making a bit of fun of guys, having a bit of a laugh at our expense and stereotyping us. What I have a problem with is the lack of respect for fathers and the fact that we, as 50% contributors, get overlooked when it comes to issues of childbirth, terminations and paternal rights. THAT, in our society is the real problem, not some cheap laughs at our sex. The ad was probably created by a man anyway.

  • @warren218 - The ad was created by a hook nose bagel eating J3W. They have an agenda against white Christian males. Wake the fuk up.

  • @warren218 agreed, there are MUCH more important things to worry about in this world than sitting around screaming 'bloody misandry!' at every ad designed solely to sell a product, or throwing tantrums about having to wear seatbelts in cars. the fact that people worry so much about pathetic little things like this depresses me so much when you hear on the news people fighting and dying for survival and freedom in Libya. if all 'free' people do is bitch and whine, we need people like hitler back.

  • males love to whine whine whine, would you like some cheese w/ the whine lol ... males are the biggest joke on the planet

  • @MsMuffDiva Typical women, defending each other when they're wrong. Women are masters at whining. Thousands of anti-violence against women groups, and none for men, when men are victims of almost 80% of violent crimes. The comments by you and other women on here show that women have no idea what equality means.

  • @TheDfdivino you are a typical males never wanting the joke @ your expense ... males think because they do & say everything behind womens back that we are stupid ... in fact we know you are all a bunch of boys that take it up the shi*thole ... & we know you would have a world full of stupid, dumb, self centered white christian or black christian males ... you would even get rid of the few good black or white males.

  • @LorenaBobbitFan Nice job making a bunch of assumptions about me, none of which are true. You didn't even say anything relevant to my post. And good job proving you are just another immature female who is clueless about equality. I support equal rights, something you can't understand, little girl.

  • @TheDfdivino She has a superiority complex equivalent to a male supremacist thereby rule her opinions to the garbage where they belong. Unfortunately bigots sometimes voice their opinions louder than people for equality I guess we'll have to transform into radicals for the better good of society. Enough division between women and men let's evolve past minor physical differences and work in unison, 'cu at the end of the day we're all the same on the inside. Love and light

  • Comment removed

  • @MsMuffDiva You are a bigot. Your opinion does not matter.

  • @AirForceGirl05 i got your back grrl ... most of them do need to JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP ... their line of think belongs w/ the muslims not america.

  • bahahahaha i love this commercial ... the typical male shovelling everything in that sewer hole in their face

  • Women get away with it because men don't care. Seriously I'm not so insecure that this somehow offends my self esteem or some other nonesense of the sort.

  • Reverse the sexes and prepare to be destroyed...

  • That was pretty obvious- from the moment I saw the dog I knew that it would involve a husband eating dog food. You better be fucking funny if you're gonna discriminate against an entire gender of people.

  • @AirForceGirl05

    Fuck off misandrist

  • @BoIivarDan FUCK OFF MISOGYNIST!

  • @LorenaBobbitFan

    Fuck you, you lesbian wannabe.

  • @AirForceGirl05. with a name like that, perhaps you can explain to us why 96% of war fatalities are men with so many women in the military and making the same money as the men do?

  • @teerexness I can answer that. Women in the military are not given front-line positions- in fact certain combat units do not allow women in (eg, Navy SEALs). Why? Because, my friend, footage of dead male soldiers are Glorious Sacrifices that fire up populations to Keep Fighting, wheras dead female soldiers are Unthinkable Victims that encouage populations to End This Awful War. Not all female soldiers want to be kept in the background. AirForceGirl05 is certainly exhibiting misandrist behaviour.

  • @AirForceGirl05

    No, men are HUMANS!

  • That is a generalisation. I'm sure there are/were men who respected you. Remember that men shaped the world that you live in. Sure there were queens and kings, but gravity, the universe, physics probably wouldn't exist if men were so 'crude', there are some idiotic men who have loads of pride about their gender and then there are the decent respectful individuals who are very ambitious. I can name you John Wardley, who designs rides for the Theme Park industry. Don't say anything hateful.

  • I know quite well how to analyze, as I do it for a living. Neither America Devil nor Lachdenan allows for the demographic to whom the spot is pitched--young professional women. Most women viewers, in my view, would find the reference to menstrual cramps quite obvious. The execs who put these together are well-versed in psychology and innuendo. The figure of the woman weakened by menstruation is a stock figure, and that is what is being used here. Try thinking a little outside the box, guys.

  • Disgusting. So much for the equality of the sexes. Abuse of men continues.

  • @chrisman737

cry a fucking river. men abuse women all over the globe, now you're complaining about a commercial?

  • @AirForceGirl05 both men and women abuse. Both men and women are victims (did you know that almost half of all child abusers/pedophiles in the educational sphere are women?). The point is...the media is almost always in favor of the woman, and men are continuously degraded. Equality of the sexes? I am still waiting....and waiting....and waiting.....

  • Sorry--I think you're missing the point of the commercial. It isn't "misandrist" to make fun of a man who is behaving like a woman. That's classic misogyny. The point of th commercial is to make the man seem like he's having "cramps,: while at the same time masculinizing the woman. It sells to men who get the joke, and want to replace their overstepping wives with Pepto Bismol. Before analyzing commercials, it would help if people learned how to analyze.

  • @rakehell13 I don't think women are typically stereotyped as being sloppy eaters, and the cramps thing is stretching it, it's much more apparently a stomach ache, I think you're over analyzing and finding something that isn't really there. I fail to see how putting the woman in a superior and more responsible position, is necessarily masculinizing her.

  • @AmericaDevil

You have to understand is everything * IS*about women. If it isn't, they're being victimized; hence the misogyny. To show the outcome of a man behaving like an impulsive gluttonous animal is ok perhaps for dogs but demeaning to women because that's how "the patriarchy" objectifies them. It's also a masculinization of women to present them as ever-dutiful & responsible adults in conduct.

Do you see how the (flawed) thought goes now?

The trick is seeing the victim complex used.

  • @rakehell13 "Like a woman?" What have you been smoking? They are portraying the man as being like a dog who is unable to keep from getting into and eating everything and running rampant like an animal. You need to learn how to analyze.

  • What is so misandrist about this? oO

  • @coccinelsucrer I would think comparing men to dogs would be the complaint.

  • @AmericaDevil

"men" as a whole are not being compared to dogs here, the husband is because of his eating habits. Either that or i'm not getting the joke in this commercial. That's like saying i'm a misandrist if i call a guy i know an imbecile because insulting him means insulting all men. That's not true. I also wouldn't consider this commercial misogynistic if the sexes were switched, in case you were about to bring up this argument.

  • @coccinelsucrer The sloppy, lazy man is a stereotype.

  • @AmericaDevil

    Hmmm...Yeah, you're right, i had overlooked this.

  • I remember when this ad first came out. Disgusting.

They changed the tone of the woman's voice when she says "Rex is my husband." to have an upwards inflection rather than a downwards one, as though that makes it so much better and acceptable.

  • @donwest420 Aww, well, thank you. And thank you for not saying something to the extent of my needing to go make a sandwich.

    Hahaha, I've gotten it before...

    :-P

  • @donwest420 Touche

    :-)

Though, in my defense, I was 21 when I created my screen name, and, in many respects, I was still a "girl."

But, you're right: perhaps I ought to get a new screen name, or shut the hell up.

  • The bottle is even pink! Those misandrist bitches! Was it a female doctor who invented that foul pink bloody subpar medicinal nonsense?! I wonder!

  • Sure, that is funny :-) Had it been the other way round all hell would have broken loose!

  • Pepto Bismol I will not tolerate your bigotry. By casually promoting denigration of men in your advertising to women you condone and promote bigoted treatment of men in real life by women.

Basically, Pepto Bismol, you can go to hell. I am boycotting Pepto Bismol and all affiliate company products.

  • Or maybe, just maybe these guys are trying to sell pepto-bismal, and see any publicity as good publicity. Call me crazy.

  • I think these commercials are backlashes for stereotypes that exist, much like stereotypes on women that we see so often on TV its hard to spot. The war is not against gender anymore, but gender stereotypes, since in commercials we still see a bunch of them, and since some aren't labeled as "bad" ones, they slip through the cracks.

  • @MartyredxMaiden no it's just blatant misandry it's not a backlash against anything

  • funny, cos it's true.

  • Switch the genders and you would have a firestorm on your hands. Keep the commercial as it is and for some reason it is acceptable. Double standard. End misandry now.

  • @chrisman737 double standards of any kind are stupid we should turn off our television sets

  • @chrisman737 Or accuracy, more like. There are more overweight men than there are women in the USA.

    weightawareness dot c o m/topics/doc.xml?__topic_id=111&doc_id=1202

  • @ImaginarYxGoddesS , Don't be silly. This commercial has nothing to do with who is more overweight. It has to do with comparing men to dogs. Don't hide behind statistics to support misandry. End misandry now.

  • @chrisman737 Except this commercial isn't a display of misandry and was probably directed by a man.

  • @ImaginarYxGoddesS, it supports misandry and a commercial with the roles reversed will never be seen on television in today's current culture, further proof of the bias. I have no indication who directed this. Women may have been involved in the writing, production and directing of this commercial -- we don't know. If you find any info, please let me know. Until then, support a just cause by fighting for the end to misandry.

  • @chrisman737 No it doesn't. I could find you twice as many commercials that can be taken as misogyny. You are an idiot.

  • @ImaginarYxGoddesS, and I would be more than happy to fight against misogyny as well. That you stoop to silly personal insults by calling me an "idiot" shows that you are not yet ready to expand you sensitivity in ways that you are not accustomed. I wish you well.

  • "In the past quarter century, we exposed biases against other races and called it racism, and we exposed biases against women and called it sexism. Biases against men we call humor." - W, Farrell

  • @OniNoFro Doctor Warren Farrell! Now THAT's an author worth reading. NOT that I'm saying only listen to him- I have read Greer, Farrell, Dworkin, Wolf and many, many others. Treat each book as opinion (and examine the evidence each puts forth) and decide for oneself! After all that, I hate misogyny and misandry equally.

  • @trollsarevirgins

Agreed. Doc Farrell is worth reading mostly because he openly provides his research methodology and sources, explains how he chose/eliminates variables and determines what's of key value. Those things are the hallmark of a good researcher and at the core of a scientific (read: objective, inquisitive, and critical) mind. Now I don't always agree with everything he says but he does put forward interesting ideas using previously established social frameworks.

  • A lazy person is always suppose to receive these things btw.

  • Comment removed

  • Underlying it all, I suspect that much of this plays into a deep underlying insecurity need to coax female insecurity and feelings of inferiority by creating an association of superiority and blame on the male so they can feel better about themselves. There is probably some appeal to self-rightous anger and disgust at men too. Why do some men bother getting married in America?

  • Omg. are you five? The commercial is more of a depiction of Westernized obesity then anything against men. In no way does the commercial (which is you know, a commercial so sell a product, with no polotical agenda but to make money) imply that he is lazy or stupid. Its the other 'guy' who seemed most disturbed by the revelation. the woman didnt care b/c it was her husband. everyone is so sensitive.

  • @iamajimmy Consider that such commercials do not use the woman as the one who pigged out like an out of control fool. Go beyond the one incident of this single commerical and consider the big picture. Obviously, you don't seem able to do that.

  • yes cause of course they dont have commercials geared towards women showing them mopping, cleaning, vaccuuming and driving mini vans. What a horror to be directed towards commercials of deoderent, vodka and razors. Its called advertising. Its generalizing and stupid. Grow up and discard your conspiracy theories, otherwise go after every single generalizing and stereotypical medium on television. not trite comedy doing an acturate picture of the most obese country on the planet

  • There, there, will this YT commercial make you feel better now, whiney little babies?

"misogynist commercial - nandos - dumb blond chips "

  • STOP BEING SUCH SENSITIVE WUSSES!! I find this to be funny, and NO, I am NOT offended by this commercial. I can't believe you guys get bent out of shape for this crap. A REAL man wouldn't let this bother him, just laugh along because it's funny! I thought Women's Movement were a bunch of old sensitive old hags, but you wusses are worse! Not all us men are little sensitive cry babies, so be a man and stop putting us all to shame. Man, my little niece has tougher skin than you whiney hineys!!

  • @ronhj62 Good that is hasn't harmed you yet not all men are you. Repeated messaging demeaning males in many forms from the mass media, advertisers, schools, government, Hollywood, etc over time has contributed to de-manning males in our culture and is damaging outright emotional abuse. Misandry has done much damage especially to the younger men in our culture.

  • Yeah cause its misandry to make a commercial about eating too much on a saturday night. better warn the frat boys. bridget jones eating a ton after shes been broken up with is just as stereotypical, but noone cares b/c its humor! pick your battles, son. find something that actually discriminates anyone and isnt just cheesy badly written humor

  • @iamajimmy Funny how increasing numbers of men (and women) are aware of the overwhelming and ongoing depiction of men as incompetent fools by the mass media, advertising, entertainment, and other industries. Over time, such messaging creates a Dominant Social Theme and contributes to the increasing dysfunction of individuals and society. BTW, I have picked my battle, grandpa.

  • @freeheretic111

But there are many male stereotypes in mass media. Positive ones too. I enjoy Family Guy and the Simpsons, both of which feature this male-as-fool "stereotype", neither of which damage my self-esteem (or anyone else's I'd wager). There is real anti-male nastiness on television--Oprah, Dr. Phil, etc, etc...,a pervading attitude that violence perpetrated by women on men is funny or otherwise acceptable, and a sense that a flirting man is a pig. The commercial is innocuous.

  • @QuinnnniuQ Thanks for your reply. One commercial is innocuous. Hundreds of commercials are not innocuous. Repetitive messages (think advertising persausion) using multiple forums: TV shows, advertising, government legislation, mass media reporting etc etc can influence people's values and belief systems.

  • absolutely disgusted beyond words... beyond wooooooooords

  • I'm sorry, I'm not in the business of complaining because a person within the same subset of the population as me is depicted as foolish in the commercial. Leave that stuff to the kooky feminists. Instead, get a sense of humor and expose the hypocricy of feminism. If this was a woman they'd practically boycott PB. But it's a man and of course they don't seem to care.

  • I saw this commercial!

  • So very sexist.

  • She's the fucking dog.

  • Fucking cunts.

  • Yet another man = idiot; woman = genius commercial that we're not supposed to get upset about. And some folks on here say we should just sit back and take it.

Like other companies, Pepto Bismo goes after the safe target - men. No one in their corner.

  • these never get but they get fuking annoying u never see a woman represented as a dumbass in a commercial.

Oh wait im a guy im supposed to just "take it" fuuuuuuuuuuuuk that!

  • @trueswordsexpert0909

Yeah, poor men. Women are often just represented as whores. Personally, I'd rather see a woman represented as a "dumbass."

  • yea because I see commercials all the time where the poor women are represented as whores.... or your feminist definition of a whore (which can be pretty much can be anything)

please keep your feminist male hating bullshit in your womens stuides class where it belongs......fuking whore.

god you girls are annoying. college female feminists are the most loud, annoying, obnoxious, people on the planet.(until they get a backhand then they shut up)

  • @trueswordsexpert0909 You know, that's a pretty harsh reaction to my comment.

First of all, when I say "Women are often just represented as whores," think of the Axe commercials where they are practically undressing themselves for men they don't even know, just because they're wearing Axe cologne.

Secondly, you don't know me. So, calling me a "Whore" because I disagree with you is uncalled for, and is entirely uncalled for.

  • @contemplativegirl21 besides the fact that ur replying to a 4 month old comment I guess I see where ur coming from.

But this comment from u "A funny commercial that pokes fun at a man...boohoo"

really pissed me off, I have the unfortunate experiance of having to argue with feminists sometimes so I am very defensive and am used to the "ur a misogynist" line from them.

and btw the "misogynist" cb is getting very old, just because I happen to defend my own gender doesnt mean im a womanhater

  • @trueswordsexpert0909 Finally, I am not claiming that misandry is okay--quite the opposite. I don't think any kind of prejudice is right, against men or women. You are clearly a misogenist. I, however, think both sexes deserve respect and equality.

There are times, however, when I think it's better to just have a sense of humor over these things, rather than getting bent-out-of-shape over it.

As far as being backhanded, I can tell you I'd hit the ^%$&er right back.

  • @contemplativegirl21 ". I, however, think both sexes deserve respect and equality"

Reading ur comments from 4 months ago shows me thats not how it sounded like u felt.

Maybe my reaction is harsh but I hate it when girls post comments like urs whenever anybody dares to speak out against misandry or mens rights.

  • @trueswordsexpert0909 I wasn't trying to be mean in my comments four months ago, I was just trying to get it across that sometimes humor is the best method of dealing with things. I could have been a little more sensitive, so I apologize for that.

  • @contemplativegirl21 well maybe I did take it too far so I apologize aswell for the whore comment. And I know that not all women are like feminists(because not all women are feminists) and because I know a few self proclaimed feminists that I actually like(christina hoff sommers, peg tyre).

so yes I know for a fact that not all women are like the ones that I sometimes argue with, again I have become very defensive so sometimes cant really tell when someone is joking

  • @trueswordsexpert0909 As far as claiming you were being a misogynist: I was referring to your "Whore" comment, not to your defending your gender. It's sort of like you referring to women as "girls" and men as "men." If I started saying to you, "I hate it when boys post comments..." I think you would claim I was a misandrist, but it's okay for you to refer to women as girls. I am a 25 year old woman, not a girl.

I'm sorry for your bad experiences with feminists--not all women are like that.

  • How can we find which Marketing firm produced this commercial?

  • I recommend the book Legalizing Misandry by Paul Nathanson and Katherine K. Young

  • This commercial is pretty mild compared to what else is out there but it does have most of the standard stereotypical details: the woman is smart, commanding, beautiful while the man is a fat slob.

  • So what? And they call feminists whiners!

  • @SexySadie98506

    And they call feminists hypocrites!

  • you guys are over reacting. quite francly i found this...well not funny but entertaining. cmon guys dont become like a feminist...were better than that

  • we are better than that?

If you shut your mouth about everything then you will be stepped on!!

  • @GreenSkullivan It might be seen as over-reacting if it wasn't such a pervasive pattern. There are tons of commercials that frame women as competent, attractive, decisive adults who must help/advise/teach their incompetent/overweight/slovenly/insensitive etc male counterparts. One reason of course is to discredit the male viewpoint which traditionally has been connected to being frugal when making purchases. Don't listen to the dope! BUY MORE! Read "Spreading Misandry" for more info.

  • You should get familiarized with your partner's eating habits before marrying them, dupe...

  • Most commercials anymore belittle males in general. Make the father look extremely incompetent with his children, as well as fairing with extremely simple household chores. Young boys to be the 'rat pack', and stupid.

All the while, making the mom/female look civilized, rational, heroic, and completely distraught over the man's obvious displacement. As IF...he had no clue.

Most TV viewers are women. Thus wouldn't surprise me if ALL women were to think alike these unreal commercials.

  • Wow...imagine if a woman was humorously transposed with the dog like the man is in this commercial. Terrible.

  • You hit the nail on the head.

  • Anyone see the OFF! personal-repellent apparatus advert that was aired a few mos. back here in the USA??? The one where the wife was indignant and livid, castigating her husband beyond reproach (he never mows the lawn), basically alluding to the notion that her husband was a complete dullard? That ad had me in a tizzy of lividity.

  • Commericals are such bullcrap. I rarely ever watch them anymore.

  • I don't get this.

  • i don't know how they get away with this shit.

  • a very stupid commercial indeed!

  • This commercial makes no sense! I FUCKING HATE IT! WHY DOES SHE SAY "OF COURSE, DOG TREATS!" LIKE ITS NORMAL FOR A FUCKING HUMAN TO EAT DOG TREATS! NOT TO MENTION, WHY IS HER FAT FUCK OF A HUSBAND ON THE COUCH IF HES REALLY SICK? WHY DOES SHE SAY "CHARLIE IS MY DOG" WHO CARES!? WHY DOES SHE CALL THE GAY PEPTO GUY INSTEAD OF JUST GETTING HIM SOME TUMS AND CALLING THE MENTAL INSTITUTE FOR HER FAT LAZY BITCH OF A HUSBAND WHO EATS DOG TREATS!? COMMERCIALS ARE BULLSHIT!

  • @awkword519 Woah... =)

  • that is bloody sexist.. if it was the other way around.. Feminists groups all over would rap back..

  • @girigoku31st sadly thats what men should do we need to talk back and stand up take control were we once stud supreme

  • @girigoku31st consider.. how often do you see any woman on a commercial that is fat or stupid?

  • @glitchesandglitter Well, we don't need tv for that, just visit your local Wal-Mart.
