"Be a little careful . . . the Moon does rotate. If you stood on the Moon, the stars would rise and set, just like they do on Earth, except that a lunar day is a month long, the same as the Moon's orbital period. The Moon rotates at just the right speed so that it always keeps one face pointed toward the Earth, which seems like a pretty big coincidence, doesn't it?"
@des12345lady Many moons in our solar system have the same "locked rotaion". It's caused by the tidal effects. In several billion years, Earth would be locked in the same way to Moon, but the sun probably will explode before it happens...
The earth orbits the sun in an elliptical orbit and the moon orbits the earth with the same kind of orbit. Looking down from the north pole, the earth spins in a counterclockwise direction on an imaginary line called its axis once every day. The Moon's has no rotation on its axis hence the same side of the moon is always facing the planet Earth.
@ljee777 to be correct: moon moves only 15 degrees for hour so the movement you have recorded in this video is because of the earth rotates in the opposite direction.
I am a skateboarder and got this cam, and I just wanna hear if a fisheye can be attached to it? I've searched everywhere for a fisheye to the dcr-sx30 with no result.
Fisheye, in case you didn't find if you can put a fisheye on. Check to see if there are any threads around the lens. If there are see what mm's the diameter is. Myself I have an older Handycam. Sony is pretty good about having attachments available and I had a 50mm fisheye for it.
Your video gets a thumbs up from me. I really enjoyed it - thanks ljee
