1975 PTS Passing Out of 1st SP 1 of Hong Kong Police Cadet

I joined the RHKPF on 02/20/1984, #1149 M Squad, the first PTS-class started to use the number 45001 - 45128; I left the force at the begining of 90's.

I really missed the day of 80's in PTS. We all drilled with rifle 303, and wore the summer green uniform in passing out parade and had the best foot driled ceremony. Personally, I don,t like the new style of the PTS- passing out parade;

There's a lot of new buildings and facilities when I visited the PTC ( formed name PTS) on 2006;

I passed out in 1984 and left in 1997. My nickname in the TNTS or TNTN is "小花"

It realy bring me a lot of memories. I joined the RHKPF in 1984. Course No. is 1158 "AA Squad". But I left to work in other Department in the year of 1997. It is an unforgettable experience. The training was tough but we all went through. If I've a chance to choose my career again, the RHKPF is definitely the best choice.

Yes la, But actually my PTS experience was not that bad in my era, but may be very tough in 1981, at least the ACI will not "Ping" us. The Force is improving la.

My ACI was very kind to us, never hit us. But I personally saw one sgt hit his pig's back in lower range because he shot very bad.

I miss the old day of 80s in PTS. We drilled with rifle 303. Wore smart uniform in passing out parade and on beat patrol,. I really cant accept the new one that makes PC look like a security guards. Fortunately, I dont need to wear it as I left the force years ago.

Me too, passing out in 1984 and quit in 1991, last posting in CCB. Movie star Lam Ka Wah was inside as he was one of the SP1(Special one)

Hi, Saluting to my C hing, may be you are "21XXX or 22XXX" if you are not "No Ting", I am "45XXX", are you still in GS, and I am in the LAD now.

My original no. should be 233xx but mine was "lo ting". In fact, all my classmate were lo ting. I am still an GS in a civilian dept being an officer grade.

During the 90s', due to the police dept was lacking of promotion prospect, it lost a lot of potential officers' what a pity.

My last post in UB/Tsims. DC was LAU Yuk-kuen, the one died and BF of CHAN Po-chu, who only norminated one and only one to be PO in YT. Thats why I applied for other dept....9 to 5, no shift, long short week, sunday off and higher salary. All meaned that I got promoted to S/Sgt immediately, right?
