The chorus in this song is simply breathtaking. The song is great but when the chrous kicks in it normally causes extreme goose bumb for those who appreciate this masterpiece.
@Sl33pyS3ven Yes! I love her in this song, I love Stereolab, and this is by far my fave Common jam. So good up and down...the beat, the raps, the chorus, the piano, whatever is happening behind her...magical time-warp organ? I'd love see how this song was made.
@MrAvillegas99 its slight i know but listen to 2:14 of this song and then 2:21 of sunny hills on the tune u commented on besides if u look at wiki, j dilla produced this song and has often sampled bobby so i think my theory is right
Open your ears people. Know what real hip-hop is. Know how a real producer produces. This song just flat out kills it and barely anyone recognizes it. SAD
@sadsquared2 Open your ears people. Know what real HIP HOP is. Know how a real MC SPITS FIRE!! Common goes hard, so hard, and people only can talk about Dilla. I know he's gone, but can give props the men who actually rap? This preoccupation with the beat when the POETRY IS TRUTH!!!
@sadsquared2 i agree. everyone slept on this album back when it came out. this is the epitome of "before it's time," because if you listen to Wayne, and his lack luster followers, they're all trying to branch out into other genres musically. hell, Wayne even picked up a guitar...lol...how dare those that said Common fell off with this album even breathe the same O2. He didn't fall off, he TOOK OFF!!! hip hop forever, 80's baby signin' off.

Why isn't anyone hyped that Laetitia Sadier is on this track?!
I find it amazing that he knows enough about good music to invite Laetitia on his track. I think I love common even more now.

Someone just told me this Dilla sampled Bobby Caldwell - Sunny Hills for this beat. I don't really hear it though. Does anybody know for sure

@mkadoza True but it takes a beat for a rapper to tango with. No offense to Common, but the beat far succeeds the flow. MESSAGE!
