After living in London, I appreciated how quiet Goettingen's surroundings could be, and when I lived there in the early to mid-Eighties even the Innnenstadt seemed curiously lifeless, especially on Sunday. The locals minded their own business, and apart from demos, there wasn't much friction between 'town and gown'.
Ich wohnte in der Studentensiedlung an Rosenbachweg. Ich vermisse Göttingen. Ich finde, sie ist eine sehr schöne Stadt.
