MarcuFaith: Your poor recitation and lack of understanding did such a disservice to Yevtushenko's masterpiece of a poem, Colours. Why would you read this poem (for the very first time), then critique it online, without taking the time to understand what it was you were reading? One of these days, when you've matured and experienced more of love and loss, I hope you take another look at this poem. Perhaps then it will touch a chord within that you never knew existed.
@healthyjoyfulable Hi. I read it cause i felt like sharing. I am not obligated to like everything I read. Perhaps my understanding was poor, but who are you to say? If you don't like it, record a better version of it. Yes, perhaps when i have "matured" it will strike at the core of my heart, but that's a pretty condescending thing to say, since you cannot know what is in my heart by watching a one minute video of me on youtube. Anyway, thanks for the review and comment.
@marcusfaith Hello MarcusFaith: I am so sorry if I sounded condescending, for that was not my intention. I replied to your video for two reasons: (1) I worried that viewers unfamiliar with "Colours" may be turned off to the poem, and (2) to encourage you to go back to the poem later in life. You yourself said that I "cannot know what is in your heart by watching a one minute video of you”. You are right. To be fair, apply that to any 1-minute recitation of a poem. (continued)

@marcusfaith MarcusFaith, I am happy you are interested in poetry and sharing with others on YouTube. It would good to see you recite poetry you love, something that stirs you in some way, something that speaks to your soul. Just the same, thank you for sharing.
