does anyone put oil on there barrel if not will it rust because ive seen many of these vids and no one mentions putting oil on the barrel is the barrel made of a rust resistent metal or what???
Thumbs up on the gloves.... I have a bad habit of bare handing that shit when i clean my rifle. I'm a bore-snake person myself, I don't like that metal rod in my barrel tho. But good Vid and Nice Rifle.
Gloves while u clean your gun?? I mean really?? Your such a girl-y boy... Lmao... and your gun even clean come'on man!! I HAVE NEVER SEEN A MAN WEAR GLOVES WHILE CLEANING A GUN!!! this was e-mailed to me cuz a buddy thought is was the funniest thing ever but, u have the right idea
@MrOregonGreen For just basic maintenance gloves are over the top, but if you're dealing with things like copper solvent, they're a good idea. Same with glasses if you're dealing with spray oils/solvents.
@MrOregonGreen its always a good idea to wear glove due to the fact that your skin contains oil and when the oils get on the rifle it can cause rust from long storage
You fogot the cleaning of the lugs using the chamber brush. Correct alignment of the gas rings when reinserting bolt into carrier.Use a QUALITY CLEANING ROD(never aluminum) with a bore guide so the rod rides straight in the bore. Don't wear the muzzle crown. The BEST THING to do right after shooting is to run a Bore Snake with some CLP through the barrel to remove the bulk of the deposits since some people don't get a chance to clean their firearm that day.
great vid man you really answered all of the questions i had about mine. wish you could have done the entire vid with the other light on but either way good vid

Why oil the gas tube? Therer are no moving parts in the tube. I'd think oil would just collect crap. Am I missing something?

this confused the shit out of me, until I realized that everything is mirrored. Everything is backwards.

A lot of solvents are cancerous. Gloves are extremely important.

I see you sticking the cleaning rod through the barrel first. Doesn't this damage the barrel? How do you think about bore guides?

Who cares which rifle is the best? As long as you have a Scary Little Black Gun, it's good enough! Anything to piss off the gun grabbers!

You guys are mean bastards. Give the guy a break. As far as which gun is the best the answer is simple. Rock River.

@Travis94ZX All decent consumer grade guns. If you want top quality, look into Colt, Daniel Defense, Noveske, and LMT.
