Thank you for doing this song. "Also best I have ever heard" reminds me of some old folk songs that I grew up to. I would love to hear you play "Blowin' in the wind." If you ever have the chance. Thanks for your time, and I hope your talent can fly you to what ever your dreams may be. TY again
Oh man, I'm in love with the man! haha. It's a pity he took his life. I became obsessed with Ochs when I was about 12 when I also got really interested in Vietnam War era America. He's truly the greatest protest folk writer ever. His music is still relevant today. My favorite song of his is "Love Me, I'm a Liberal". I completely agree with the sentiment there.
Nice job, man. Little flub on the last verse with the D instead of the Em, but excellent. You have a good voice. I found it difficult to sing in regular tuning, so I tuned it down, which is actually how Phil tunes his guitar and plays a lot of stuff.
thanks alot bro...yea this was a bit of a rushed vid...i didnt really practice it or take time to learn it...i really should...i love phil ochs..though i didnt know bout the tuning thing...i really liked your version because you include all the little riffs that make the song complete...thanks for checkin my tunes bro
thanks alot shawn...this song reminds me of being a kid around all the leftover hippies from the 60's, they used to listen to alot of folk music...i have my parents to thank for all of my musical tastes
thanks alot m8...all your comments mean alot..i'm actually a little jealous of your skill...lol..only a little but still i wish i could write complex tune slike you do bro..
