Why don't u actually prove it's "totally water proof" by submerging it under water and using it, not just sprinkling some water on it. The iPhone would have worked even without the seal with that sprinkling.

I do the same everyday without your industrial grade kitchen vacuum sealer machine and my 3gs still works fine BUT for underwater usage this would be pretty cool, scuba diver iphone apps are on the way yaaaay

even without de facuum sealing you can hold your iphone under the tap and it still works!
