Heroscape is cheaper and easy to begin with.

The problem with most miniature games are the companies them and the marketing they have. For example:

Mage Knight (death)

Mechwarrior (death)

Dungeons and Dragons (death)

Star Wars (dying).

The only old survivors are Heroclix and Axis and Allies just for now.

Heroescape is what got me into GamesWorkshop, but I like Gw alot better

Warhammer takes quite a long time to set up and play a game, really only for hardcore players who are willing to spend a couple hours to play a game.

Heroscape is alot faster and more simplistic, if you plan to have much of a life outside of minitures i would suggest heroscape. (no offense intended to those that like warhammer)

you can buy them painted but when you buy them painted there also built for you you buy them you come back the next day and there your's !!! profetoinly painted and built but it coast like 5 $ exstra

well both are good games

warhammer takes longer hase bigger maps and battles and is way more confusiong

heroscape is easy to play simple and fun and better for younger people who donnt play games like that

Heroscape is a great way to transition in to the mini war gaming scene.

I bought my cousin hero scape last year, and now he's been looking to get into war hammer.

Yeah. I think Heroscape is a good gateway drug. If you find yourself flocking the Heroscape terrain, painting lots of your own customs, and playing huge battles with lots of common squads and not many heroes, you should probably move on to Warhammer.

WOW i do lotr games workshop... and in fact i've just come back from a lesson (6 evil vs 3 good... i was on the good side which got our arses kicked by 4 trolls, but at least my Legolas survived!)
