It is understandable that some are disappointed to learn that XMRV was not found to be involved in the development of prostate cancer or chronic fatigue syndrome, but it is critical to listen to what the evidence tells us, whether the results are expected, hoped for, or are unwelcome. New science is constantly emerging and NIH continues to investigate CFS. To stay up to date with NIH's efforts on CFS, visit the Trans-NIH ME/CFS Research Working Group website.
You can actually help work towards a cure for cancer and many other diseases by watching the video on my channel. Your computer can actually be used as a scientific research tool.
This research is very interesting and provides important information, but is not definitive. LeGrice and Pathak overreach in their certainty that XMRV has never infected humans and is unassociated with ME/CFIDS and Prostate Cancer. This is emblematic of the long tradition of bias by NIH against bona fide ME research.
This video is full of lies. XMRV/HGRV is real, unfortunately, and it causes real disease. I know because I suffer from M.E. caused by this retrovirus. Why is the government trying to cover this up?
This is ridiculous! Take a hypothesis, disregard that there is no evidence, just propose it and say it is true. And then get the government to put out a propaganda video hyping it!
This is blatant disregard for the truth. This is like saying "The sun moves across the sky, so it is possible that the sun is moving around the earth; therefore, we are certain that the sun is moving around the earth."
This is a propaganda video and totally unscientific!!!
You don't know if the mice were used in the creation of the cell line. PreXMRV-1 has not been shown to exist, as the primers used were not XMRV specific. You have not looked PreXMRV -1 and 2 in wild mice. You don't know if your assay is sensitive enough. But more importantly, you found XMRV in the earlier xenografts.
Research continues a study by Prof Ian Lipkin looking into Retroviruses will be finished this year. Tests used for XMRV were able to detect all MLVs

Why just because XMRV was created in a lab does that mean that it cannot be the cause of disease? Makes no sense.

HGRV's are out there, and in humans, my friends. Enjoy your cancer and neurological disease.
