Complete myth. Ferrari keep them for the race season. When you pay 2 million Euro or whatever to join this Scuderia Ferrari FXX program, Ferrari ships the cars around the world and arrange F1 style racing for normal Ferrari owners. hence these cars are NOT race cars. Anyway.. once the race season is over, the customer is OBVIOUSLY free to take the cars home. Some get converted into road cars but most are sold to collectors. A FXX car can fetch 7-10 million dollars at auctions.
