Depends on what version this is. Dow, Winter Assault, or the other expansions. Because in the first DoW avatar was weaker than a bloodthirster. But In every expansion after he's stronger than the bloodthirster, and actually one of the strongest. And btw, The Nightbringer is very bad against relic units. Sure he cant die, but in that time he cant rly do enough damage against relic units to make a difference when he turns back either.

Generally, just have your units run away when it comes close. If you keep on dancing around it won't do too much damage. Other than that... not much you can do. Melee units aren't a very effective tool. Unless you want to keep it busy while you open up a can of woop *** on it. :p

Can you explain this further. Like im playing necros, i have 2 platoons of necrons warriors and the blood god comes by and they make short work of him. But in the same situation of imperial guard my whole army got decimated before the guy has dided (Not to mention that at the same time the deamon prince came by lol). Necros have some kind of advantage which i cant find out (And can you tell me if the time of blood god and deamon prince is limited like the one of the nightbringer).

Necron dudes are just power horses. They can take alot of damage before they die.This gives them an advantage over the bloodthirster.Since the bloodthirster can't kill of the squads as easily as the IG. I'm not super experienced with IG. But when a bloodthirster comes after 1 squad select them and tell them to run away from the bloodthirster(and your own dudes. :p)and if he follows keep on running while the other squads fire. if he doesn't,stop them and tell the next squad to run off.leapfrog^_^

Either way in a fight id still 100% prefer the blood thirster, becuase of its flying capabilities. It can jump across big battles in order to get to its target quickly, it can also get away from hair situations ;)
