  • "Are you insured, Ken? And does it cover accidental death, Ken? What about murder, Ken? If you were say, found dead, and the police determined it was murder but had no real viable suspects, would your insurance pay out?"

  • Now I know where the legion of doom gets those quotes from! for songs like dangerous business since 1979 and at your funeral for a friend!

  • Does Ken work at a gas station?

  • i watched this because of legion of doom too.its such a good song.. I ended up using the beginning of the song with the quote then looped the next couple of bars, and some of the text at the end of the film for some of my solo theatre peformance. it was cool. i can't count how many times the film made me laugh. so good. lol

  • I think the problem was their hairdos.

  • But seriously, I respect this little film.

Everyone involved was trying to make something honest and useful. The characters have a lot more to them than one usually sees in these public service shorts and since there isn't enough time to develop them fully through dialogue, the writer does find some clever ways to bring in narration that will fill in the blanks.

The problems in this relationship are prosaic and believable and could certainly wreck a marriage.

  • I find today more creepy. The moral relativism, sleaze is "normal". Its sad

  • These type of films are paternalistic--they preach about how people should behave and comport themselves. Stil, its nice that the government was interested in helping people improve their lives. It'd be nice if society took as much interest in improving peples lives today. Yes, it is paternalistic and also socialistic...but it is also attractive in view of today's fragmented world.

  • I love how creepy the dialogue sounds in the Legion Of Doom mash-ups. But at the same time... this video is freaking creepy too. How wonderful! :)

  • can you rent this at blockbuster or something?

  • You took this from Internet Archives didn't you? I think it's a great site, so much old stuff on it.

  • I'll bet those that didn't get a divorce got killed in car accidents because there were no seatbelts back then.

  • legion of doom is where I hear it too!

  • lol yeah i had to watch this becaue i heard this is where all the strange dialouge that was in legion of doom. lol "ken, do you leave your razorblades laying around"

  • dont be a philistine

  • source of the dialog that are played throughtout legion of doom songs... =)

  • Geez... people wrote strange dialog

  • Of course it's outdated - it's from 1950! It's still campy hilarious, albeit a little bit creepy to think that's where we as a nation came from...

  • "I was going to be a doctor, but I married him instead>"

  • "no male supremacy now, it doesn't go with your salary"

    ..."ken, do you like babies?"

    damn...girl get equality

  • a little out-dated
