This entire album, and more specifically this song, take me back to a place in my life that was so important. The intensity in this music is so amazing and wonderful. I love it.
Love, hate, revenge, redemption, despair...only Nick Cave can sum all of these up into a beautiful, artistic tapestry of gospel-like musical bliss. To say that he is a musical genius would be a huge understatement. The man is a musical God.
The "Gods" of pitchfork gave this album a pretty bad review when it first came out, but today they came out with a review of the remaster, talking about how great of an album this is. Typical music critics.
