I have a 1970's olds cutlass SS, its a 442, with a 350 Rocket engine under hood (Factory), Its a nice candy apple metallic blue, with a black vinyl roof and black leather interior, and i put on 2 str8 thru magna flow mufflers to give it a sound heard from 5 blocks away. Doing some body work on it right now...when im done; Should i put a vid of it up???
I never Worry about mpg and economy crap when I fill her up. Its what you get in return that feels SO GOOD When you Hammer the throttle!! On special occasions the 100 Lo Lead AV fuel is a rare and special treat for me and my ride.
Hot chicks sold a lot of cars then. Watching old commercials was like a who's who of future famous babes. Check out the Mercury Cougar commercials with Farrah Fawcett.
Hey guys, anyone knows something about the fuel consumption of an Oldsmobile cutlass (68-72)? Please post your answer in litres per 100 km, because UK and US gallons are different as far as I know and I won't be able to know which ones are you talking about) Thanks
Very roughly you would be talking about 25L for 100km of driving on a good day. That's about ten miles per gallon. Realistically your fuel economy could be substantially worse than that depending on driving style, engine options, etc. Economy figures weren't published then because nobody cared.
Yes, you're right, also petrol in US was probably really cheap, nobody cared how much litres you'll need to feel in. But nowadays in UK it's 1.10 GBP (nearly 2$) per litre, which makes it very uneconomically to run, especially for long trips.
Cost for a liter here is roughly a third of what you pay. That is about two or three times what it cost when this car was new. Sometimes I think your nation is trying to tax itself out of existence.
Great commercial, great cars. I rememeber that guys voice from other commercials later on in the '70s when I was a kid. Those were the good ole days in America. I miss them!
positive valve rotators??? I wonder if this is what gave Oldsmobiles their distinctive exhaust note? Great commercials for incredible cars! Their commercials were better in 1970 than 1972...
wicked sick commercial ad!

They were already beginning to push their Multicultural, Jewish Communist One World Government, even back then!
Why did the Jews put up that big wall in Israel if they are truly in favor of the Jewish Propaganda the Jewish Media Mafia feeds to us?

The video is about cars. You must be pretty obsessive in your anti-semitism to make such a stupid comment about an automobile.
