What "figures" of mine are wrong? Looking for an argument? I know the sales numbers, but there are two points to be made:
1. The 360 had about 5M sales in it's first year, and that's about how much it's ahead.
2. A lot of people just bought new consoles when they got the RRoD before Microsoft started getting a bunch of lawsuits and had to extend the warranty.
And... The PS3 had higher total global sales than the X-Box 360 for the year of 2007 and almost every month of 2008 aswell. I think the X-Box 360 snatched October...
So if current sales patterns continue then the PS3 will have higher total sales even if we disregard the X-Box 360's headstart & re-buys. A rebuy would mean a person bought a 360 because their old one broke or they wanted to upgrade to an Elite.
Hardcore gamers make up bugger all of the market. Non-gamers make up the majority. Nintendo is scooping up all the money while Sony and Microsoft struggle to try to get a little of the action themselves.

PS3
There are about half a million more people on live than PSN, but I know tons of people who have multiple PSN accounts because they are free.

The number of "active" accounts on the PSN has actually cought up to the number of accounts on X-Box Live. The number is pretty accurate too because:
1. The only reason to make another account is to be able to download from other countries.
2. Most people don't know how even if they wanted to.
3. Those who do would have to log onto each account frequently to be considered "active."
There are about the same number of people, but the PSN community is much more friendly... Not full of kids.

video games lead people towards careers involving creating video games for other generations, and learning to program them and other software. what practical uses does playing sports have other than staying fit, and learning stategy that you can also see in video games. although the types of problems encountered in sports are more suitable for the army than anything logical today. with UAV's being made by programmers, armies will soon be obsolete, as well as your hate for anything practical.

obviously you haven't been conscious long enough to have remembered tetris, a classic puzzle game. since the beginning video games have provoked thought, and get the user to solve problems to reach their goal. just like in real live you come across problems and must solve them. reducing thought process? no definitely not. please take some time to see that video games must be created by someone, that someone is/was most likely a gamer.

Never tried WoW, and PS3 Rocks. Video Games are NOT life wasting - they are an escape from life. But hey, an opinion is an opinion, and in MY opinion, games are a great way to pass the time between events in the real world, and do things you wouldn't ordinarily be able to do. Just don't assume gamers don't have lives.
Otherwise, this is a funny video, but some future advice - next time, rip on the console you are making fun of, not the people who took the time to watch YOUR video.

i know better than anyone, i have/built my own rig..... buut ive come to the relization video games are not about power they are about GAMES. so i got a ps3 as well for games that PC will never get ie: mgs4, force unleashed, littlebigplanet, gta4 (early not 6 months later), FF13, burnout paradise, army of two.... etc yup having a ps3 for mgs4 alone is a good enough reason.

I have to agree with you there. It's the same reason I own a 360. For games, consoles are much more convenient than computers. I think PS3's problem though, isn't it's games. Why did they need to make it multimedia capable? If you can afford a PS3, odds are you have a computer, and don't really need the thing to do all that multimedia crap when your pc will do it better. Blue ray? Why? I don't get it. Again, something cheaper and more efficient on computer.
