@miker140 I wouldn't worry about it, I've never shorted anything out with static, lol. Just don't rub your feet on the carpet then touch a chip and you should be fine.
Also, try installing the motherboard and it's components (CPU + heatsink/fan mostly) OUTSIDE of the case before mounting the motherboard. It'll make the job much easier and less time-consuming.
I was freaking out when she was installing the CPU. The CPU itself has a marker in the shape of an arrow/triangle on one of the corners. That marker corresponds with a marker on the motherboard. Match one corner with the corresponding marker and drop it in (gently). You don't wanna keep moving the CPU around as you could easily break the pins
@nintendonick I actually did get a much better video card and put it in in a later film. But really, the onboard was okay. But not good enough for starcraft. I was just happy to be able to encode fast! Transcoding to mp4 is expensive on an old machine!
great vid . shame about the muffeld couple of minuet's with the fingers over the mic. i do the same thing all the time to. ha ha. verry interesting and good to no how simple some things are with computers. i'll be changing my own hard drive from now on if i upgrade. peace, keep up all the great work.
your the shit.... i could use your help to build a computer.. im not that cmputer savy.. talk about smoke one an learn somethin.. how much in parts to build somethin simple to go online an maybe do a lil downloadin an uploading..???
@kmhumphreys7 Not much at all. All the parts for this PC together was about $500. Go on newegg.com and look for DIY PC Combos. Basically they give you all the parts in a kit, and you put it together. If you wanted to get something less beefy, it'd be cheaper. But yeah, it's really cheap.
unlike because you are a women

Great video. I don't know how much Windows is anymore, but Linux is free and works great. My favorites are: Mint and Ubuntu.
