Possible hole in story at 9:15 he says Walther PPK with 9 round clip. Even if he is counting 1 round in the camber no PPK's have an 8 round mag. Unless he was using a 22 LR caliber which is never military issue or almost never for defence purposes. OR he forgot.... 7+1 (.32 acp) is as many rounds as someone could have. Personally I wouldn't forget if something like this happen to me....
