I understand the fluidity of cultural boarders throughout the region and the relative openness to other people's cultures. But it's easy to be like that when a 2 hour flight in any direction lands you in a different country. @darkmisters English, while the most common language, isn't actually the official language of the US. Believe it or not, the official language of the US was never established in the Constitution, and to my knowledge has yet to be established. Otherwise, I agree with you. :)

It's funny to see that strangers always say "I don't understand a single word" because us french we don't write it on every rihanna video we watch, because we have always been used to listen to that non-understood language which is english. USA should be more opened about other's musical culture, we see the "i don't understand a single word" too often. This is a consequence of the self-sufficiency of the usa. The world is plural
