If you are lucky enough to find one of these on Ebay, it's a simple matter of unlocking it. All you need is a hypersim! It's a small circuit board that you sandwich with your SIM card. I just unlocked my SH-01B with a MR-SIM, and it works like a charm!

if it is like a regular sh-06a then only certain features work outside japan and u need to cpr it every so often.
