  • I feel like I'm so close on the brass monkey but I just can't quite make it

  • @AppleCore2d lol...keep at it...you WILL get it!

  • @Poledancefan I'm kinda frustrated... The last move I learned was the bow and arrow... which I can only fall back into... I can't mount from the floor... any suggestions on a good move that would be a good progression for me?

  • @AppleCore2d I'm not sure...transitions are difficult for me, since I don't really know all that many moves to begin with and my basement pole is so short. Have you tried the Cupid/Princess move from the Gemini?

  • Im gonna show this to my husband and hopefully he will be inspired. well done and good on you.:)

  • @paunobs Thank You...maybe he will try a fitness move on the pole! /Joel Lessing

  • Love how you just hung out in CAR with your fingers intertwined for a min! :D Great sit ups! I realised that I was crunching with you while watching! :D

  • @Trena543 Thank You!!

  • Heya Joel! Little advice on that reverse grip aysha is to put your thumb behind the pole and brace that lower arm. That takes alot of pressure off the upper arm and makes the move easier. It also allows you to move into the twisted grip aysha. Also on your straightedge, get your balance first by slowly moving from the brass monkey, keeping those legs close to the pole till you feel comfortable enough to fully extend. You're doing wonderful! That flag mount is so strong!!

  • @PunkyJessie Yes, that reverse Aysha is definitely a move I need/want to improve. I just got back from a long vacation and it feels like I have to start all over. I ate way too much!!

  • You look like you're in much better shape since I first started watching. :D I want a pole too.. :/

  • @tcadroas Pole is an awesome work out and the members of the pole community on-line are a fun bunch. Definitely join us!

  • your reverse aysha is mighty impressive!

that is a move a i always forget to practice!

i liked watching you get into it

i think it will help me practice it out so THANK YOU

and again yours is looking super strong

  • @blueskye33 Thanks! I just got back from California, so I'm sorry it took so long for me to respond. I ate way too much, so now I have to get back into focus!

  • ok, what did Tiffany say that you had to remove the comment??!!! ha ha somebdy hit the mouse at the wrong time, I'm guessing!!

you always have the best music! i know you haven't been on the pole a lot in the last months but you still are strong! the "pole sit ups" aarrghh!

    nice one

  • @Hoddska Hi Alex...lol, no, I didn't remove the comment...unless maybe it was by accident. I've had a lot of problems getting the You-Tube comment interface to work properly...it's a real mess! Thanks for watching. Yes, I've been working a lot harder on crunches and sit-ups lately...trying to get a stronger core...

  • wow look at you doing fab hope ur ok i havent been on pole since xmas n wont be going bk on till next year as pregnant and due xmas day lol x

  • Good work, Joel! Looks like you are working on some of the the things I am currently struggling with. One thing I'd like to ask, is have you tried going into the reverse aysha with the bottom hand gripping the pole with fingers pointing down (like in split grip)? It seems to me that would make it easier to hold and then you could go into the TG aysha from there. I'm gonna try it today and see how it works out.

  • @jnybeth Yes, this is exactly what I want to do...but I just can't seem to figure it out!! That move you are talking about is demonstrated wonderfully by Muse Paradis...she's a Canadian poler and circus student in Montreal and did this move 3-4 times VERY slowly in a recent video. I took notes and was looking at them in the basement yesterday..grrr... maybe my belly or side is too fat, I just can't get my arm down with the hand that way! I'll keep trying...

  • @Poledancefan I did it today and actually found it easier to grip then the thumb up position. Except I did from a scorpio, not a gemini. So try hooking your inside leg, rather than outside leg, and then then reach down towards the floor with your outside arm. Maybe that will make a difference?

  • Bravo Joël, ça pas l'air simple ce que tu fais comme figure. Bonne continuation et vive la pole. Bisous

  • @Nathaloche31 Merci, Nataloche!!

  • @SimpllySweet Uh-Oh..did I accidently delete your comment on the mini-keyboard? ARRGGH....thanks for watching!!! /joel

  • Hey Joel. Great stuff :) But one thing you got to watch is with your reverse Aysha, don't bend your bottom arm. Karol told me in a workshop you got to straighten it out. Your bottom arm has your weight on and if you have it bent, it makes it hard to do that.

  • @CrazySamantha0214 Thanks Samantha...yes this move needs a lot of work....also wish I had a higher pole so I could start a little higher up. I''ve already slid to the ground by the time I figure out what I am doing!

  • hey joel, your reverse aysha at 1:51 to 1:56 was fab,you held it really steady.fab gemini to tammy after that too. i so wish i could do the mount you do at 4:10, ive tried so many times, but cant seem to get the knack of it ? 6:22 and 6:45 were ace when you were getting your groove on xx cross klnee sit ups eh ?..i can only do cross ankle ones :-) great little video joel xxx

  • @thatlarawoman Thanks, Lara!!!
