I've spent a few years in the US army. Although not a member of Special Ops, my job gave me I had the opportunity to work with many US and ally special forces. There is no Best Special Forces. There is nothing the SAS can do that other similar Special Forces like Sayeret Matkal, Delta Force, and SASR can't. With cross-training everyone knows what everyone does. Sorry to disappoint you but the SAS nor anybody else is the best

What command, squadron? Do I know you? And I agree to a point. it is not the branch, it's the person. All branches think the AF is the Chair Force, but I would gladly put my squadron up against any unit in the military. Heck, the AF guys ruled all the joint schools we went to. The freefall instructors and combat diver instructors called my best buddy the "prodigy" because he was so darn good at all the schools. And yes, he was AF.

The marines finished it in over 3 hours and we finished it in less than 45 minutes...

Each army is good but the legion is different.
More discilpline than in any other army don't forget for the first 5 years:
Not allowed to live off base.
Not allowed to wear civilian clothes.
Not allowed to have a car.
You have to speak only French.
Not allowed to get married for 7 years.
The legion is not fun, I spent 10 years there !

All I have to say is that when i was in fallujah we had no problems, turned it to the marines and it went to shit...
now i have no beef with the Corps, Ihave lots of friends in. however in all my experiance i could never call the corp elite. Yes there are some in and amongst who are hard chargers but as a whole they are no better. Whats your background?

Im not Bias against the Corps, I have a lot of respect for them in fact, however, as a whole there is no doubt that the Army is better when it comes to asymmetrical warfare. My MOS is 0311 (infantry), Active duty and im an E-2, sir. and just for your info the reasons marines just say there a marine is because it dosent matter in the corp if your a cook, grunt or even in recon having the title of marine is good enough. Im also not saying the army sucks, just only when compared to the beloved corp, and i mean no disrespect to the army after all they are out fighting for our country just like the USMC. No offense, but the USMC is not in the same league as the SAS. The SAS was the precursor to our modern-day SFG(D). In fact, the first ever SFG(D) team was trained by the SAS. I would put the SAS on the same level as the Naval Special Warfare and the Army SFG, and of course my beloves AFSTS.
