Hi i am 5 2 to 5 3 and i am looking at the crf250r and the kx and yamaha could i fit this bike? i currently have an xr100 that i am flatfooting really easily. im not sure how much i weigh tho and if i were to get one what would i have to do to it to set it up for me? i will not be racing.

@tommyxx1998t Hey man. I'm 15 years old 5'6 and i sat on a 250f today and could only get one foot on the ground. I would not recommend a full size bike yet for your height. I suggest a crf 150r if you're into racing or a cr 85 if you want. I have a cr 85 at the moment and i have to say 2 strokes are way more fun than 4 strokes. Good luck
@tommyxx1998t Go for it. 85s have a great power-to-weight ratio and will fly by other bikes its size like a ttr 125. All you need to do is mix the gas and oil which takes two seconds and if you do competitive racing a rebuild once in a while. Don't worry about rebuilding it if you're not going crazy on it because mine is an 04 and i havent even touched its engine yet.
Change as much as you want fool. I grew up riding the big two strokes back in the 80s. Open class then. I am a tech now and work on polaris honda kawasaki yamaha can am iand banged bars with mad mike jones and eddie lojak and did the blackwater 100 when combs was alive kid so f off chump

there i went. My but cheeks squished as i was riding the thing had fucking LOOOTS of power as i even slightly pulled down on the gas the bike just shooted forward like a rocket XD I could get it in 3rd gear max because the street was ways to short but this was definetlly a life time experience and i'm thinking about buying my own dirtbike.

@670lamborghini yeah but at 2 strokes you g2 change the piston every 30 hours of drving because they get damaged alot voer time 2 strokes get high rpms so you have the change the pistons alot and tahts quite expensive =s
@Killgore521 not true. you can freshen it up with rings when needed but i alaways got more than 30 hours out of a piston. do you know how to mix gas? better check the service manual on a four stroke to pall. look and see how many hours the recomend on them. not very many.
@dirtrider169 thx for letting me know i know 30 hours aint the maximum but I change them every 30-35 hours of driving just to make sure it does'nt ( suddenly stops while driving and shaft breaks ) while i'm driving it. I take good care of my bike and work for the pieces so i don't really care ^^
@CLUMZYLB if you are looking for a 2 stroke sazuki the best quality in my opionion is yamaha me and all of my friends have them and have not disapointed us yet iv best. yamaha is the best lasting bike for 4 stroke

Yeah you have to adjust the valves and soon replace the head and get new valves. Keep your air filter clean and oiled properly and when you do the replacement try buying SS valves for the intake. Does your right side intake valve creep up more than the left?
what should i choose a honda crf250r 2009 or a kavasaki kxf250 2010?? btw: what company has the cheapest parts are very important?? want reply's!!

I bought the 2007 version of this bike recently and it's a fine bike to ride :D

If you really want Fuel Injection wait for the 2011, but i would definitely recommend the 2009 it makes the most power of any other year

a 250 4stroke is a good bike to start on cause its alot easier to ride than a 125 or 250 2 stroke. 2stroke takes alot more throttle control and skill

Almost nobody makes a 2-stoke model for 2010. 80 years of 2 stoke pollution was enough. 4 stroke's are the future

KTm if i'm not mistaken has 2 strokes too, 125 n 250, but unfortunetly i think 2010 is the last year for the 2stroke..i personally ride a 04 CR250R and i love it

@21mxracer ya but i hav owned a 2 stroke and the powerband isnt nearly as big as a 4 stroke you can pull wheelies all the way down the road but a 2 strokes powerband is smaller so you cant do that and 250 4 stroke is way more reliable and easier to maintain and i think the deep sound it makes is better than the high pitch a 125 makes and the dual exhaust is sweet i think most dirt bike manufactures are equal but i think honda just has a slight edge on the others

Yeah you have to adjust the valves and soon replace the head and get new valves. Keep your air filter clean and oiled properly and when you do the replacement try buying SS valves for the intake. Does your right side intake valve creep up more than the left?
