  • @WWEfan9999123 Thanks, but look @ what that "faster in speed" got her... a resting place on the bottom of the ocean floor.

  • Thank you for sharing this story, it brought a smile to my face :-)

  • My mother came to Canada as a war bride aboard the Queen Mary in August 1946. I asked her for details but the main thing she remembered was how soft and tasty the dinner rolls were!

  • Probably the most successful liner anytime, still in use! even if a touristic attraction, ah ah there's even a funny "english" village built nearby for shopping! not so much to see inside the ship, even the low-pressure turbines has been removed and only the "small" (not really so small) are left to see.

Nothing to do with ugly Titanic, the interiors of Queen Mary were a real masterpiece of elegance while those of Titanic were old-fashioned even for the age and of vulgar bad taste.

  • @vaxiawval Thanks for the additional info. you mentioned and your feelings on this beautiful luxury liner.

  • is that the titanic?

  • @kthevenard ...NO it's the (RMS "Queen Mary") as listed in the title heading above.

  • If we can save the RMS Queen Mary, it is nearly criminal not to save the the SS United States. Save her and spread the word!

  • @23Daant SS United States is a splendid ship, born 20 years too late, It's real "reason d'etre" maybe was to have a superfast troop transport in case of war, having Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth proved themselves more useful than a fleet of dreadnoughts in WWII. United States engines are battleship class power capable, real speed (secret) probably unmatchable by anything afloat. Unfortunately it was built fire-proof and is so full of asbestos that to save it should be demolished and rebuild

  • this titanic music confused me lol

  • Rms Queen Mary. Painted white during her construction, Grey thoughout during WW2 & black from 1936 to 1939 & from 1947 to present. Queen Mary is a very special Liners. Greatest Ship os all time. long live the Queen Mary.

  • @SuperTitanicfreak Thank you for this additional info. on this beautiful ship.

  • @SuperTitanicfreak i wouldnt say Queen Mary is the greatest ship of all time, i think that title is better held by the R.M.S Titanic, no ship is more famous or more luxurious than her.

  • its bigger than titanic....right?

  • @wan9572 Titanic vs. Queen Mary

    Overall Length:

    •Queen Mary: 1,019.5 ft. (310.74 m.) •Titanic: 882.9

    Gross Tonnage:

    •Queen Mary: 81,234 gross tons

    •Titanic: 46,329 gross tons

  • The inside of the Queen Mary is awesome. Many people still say it's haunted. Can it be true? Can anyone tell me again why she no longer sails.

  • My heart goes out to this ship and The SS United States in Phiadelphia PA while she awaits her unknown fate.

  • I.L.QM.!!!!!!-I LOVE QUEEN MARY!

  • I like boats

  • You and me both buddy!

  • Queen Mary looks like a huge boat is it like a second version of Titanic?

  • @LiveLifeFoever it is. but bigger!

  • @LiveLifeFoever Take a look at the additional information I've included, this will answer your question about size and much more.

  • @LiveLifeFoever The Queen Mary is much bigger than the Titanic. The Queen Mary is 1019 long (Titanic was 882).

  • I've visited the Queen Mary a couple of times, amazing ship! That's awesome he'll be singing there! Wonderful tribute video, Dave:)

  • Thank you Christina ;-) I've had dinner on-board many years back now and from what I remember... she is a beautiful ship!

  • the titanic music :D thats not to the point or??? Naja, it is okey, i like it :)

  • ;-) Thank you, but not too sure of your question here. Info. on the music track used is in the info. box to right and in the ending credits.

  • watching this vid gave me a feeling of being on the sea and taking a tour all at the same time . Awesome shots and music.. very well done.

wow alot of info too I might add. Dedicated to Sergio very cool of you! yet another work of Art as we have come to expect from you : )

  • Hello Susan, thank you very much for such a nice comment. ;-) I thought it was important to have a brief history of this majestic beauty.

  • Great video Dave! This video shows how elegant travel use to be - no new cruise ship can hold a candle to this fine lady!

  • Thank you very much and what a very fitting synopsis for a beauty of this nature.

  • You always make terrific videos, Dave. And, of course, the James Horner track is certainly a great choice. Thank you very much for dedicating this to me.....er....oh...oh, wait....no...that Serg dude again?! Fine. Great. But, just so you know, I WILL be performing on The Mairzy Doates tugboat out of Dredge Harbor in Minnesota, giving an electrifying symposium on the history of water-utility rates.

  • Hey Jeff, I'm laughing so hard now I have go to pee. OMG! you are so very funny ;-) ie: "tugboat out of D.H. Minnesota"..."symposium on history of water-utility rates." Humm... wonder why here of all places? My Minn. Vik's by any chance?

Thank you for the very nice comment, coming from such a talented guy as yourself, it means alot to me my friend!

  • Oh yeah and this line here... "that Serge dude again?! Fine. Great." It's got me ROFLMAO NOW!!

  • Ha HAA!! AWESOME!! Thanks so much, Dave! It's ALWAYS been my thing, to at least attempt (maybe mostly through writing) make good folks laugh till their bladder needs the most serious and urgent attention. As for Minnesota....I have no clue; I know I live around the Midwest right now, but haven't a clue where Minnesota is, although I have some of my family that have migrated there: those crazy Irish folk. Don't know why. Umm....thank you for enjoying my silliness! Please donate $4.

    ~Jeff

  • In ref. to Minnesota I'll send you my link on from YT and by the way it's located somewhere just south of the Canadian border.

Hey, sure hope you won't mind copper in payment?

  • I only accept wooden nickels. And this Minnesota you speak of is, according to my research, a fictional place! Wow!

  • Way cool, Dave! Have you been on the ship before? It's so impressive in person! You rock, man - thank you so much!

  • Hey Serge, you're welcome and I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I have been on it for dinner with my ex many years back. It's been so long, can't recall alot about it now...need to go back! ;-)
