  • its funny how every1 on youtube is in the army

  • @iMoDz114 What kind of fucking pilot trains for long range combat with a non existent Sniper Rifle? In fact, what sort of fucking pilot trains for long range combat? xD

What military aircraft do you fly mate? You'll be able to tell me all about trim settings, stall speeds etc.

  • 1:35 Nazi Zombie

  • McNab's "disguise" is becoming more and more for show of late. You can tell exactly what he looks like

  • As a Yank, I am just very happy that guys like Andy and the SAS and the entire British forces are our close friends and allies. Standing strong together and united, we can fight the good fight against the bastards who would do us harm just because we are Westerners and they believe we are evil infidels.

  • @superhornet69 well you did kind of invade their country?

  • @superhornet69 Appreciate your kind comment superhornet69. My father was in the British army and deployed to both regions of conflict, and, as often happens to every unit, when his ground package got into trouble, just to hear/see and US callsign and Overwatch aircraft (often the the brilliant Spectre) just put everything right. The US forces are simply SUPERB and DEDICATED! And they saved my dad'd life on numerous occasions. Forever grateful to our US family! Best wishes. Ebs

  • Andy! YOU ROCK! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!!!!

  • @ScaleMilitaryMovies proper rifle fired by a proper cunt

  • its good, but will it blend?

  • Just look at the wear on that rifle, how many ppl dya think its killed?

I love the AI rifle it is a thing of beauty

  • what range was that?

  • the kinetic energy on that round is immense

  • wonder what his K/D ratio is?

  • Andy McNab has recieved multiple death threats from SAS troops telling him to cease all real life accounts, yet he still wrote them. That's Andy MacNab

  • @TartanTrouble Do you have any proof for that nonsence?

  • @grobo11 It was made public, look it up. Have you ever wondered why they only use a pseudonym and always cover his face?

  • @TartanTrouble Utter shite. His name and id are secret because of his participation in Northern Ireland ops

  • The only similarities between real life and call of duty is, they both has weapons and enemies. But real life isnt fun guys .. cod is fun... real life is horrible.

  • am i right in saying this is british army standard issue now?

  • @EdwardTheGentleman i believe so

  • Can you please kick the guy who edited this video in the nuts for me?

  • L96 sniper rifle, also known as the Accuracy International Arctic Warfare rifle. It's British made and was introduced in 1982. It's used by the British Armed Forces; Navy, Air Force, ect.

  • @urbangekko Or is it! Its the L115A3. L96 is .308 not .338 Lapua. The L115 went into service in 1996. Other than that you are correct. But who really cares.

  • thats not Andy Mcnab, that's Chris Ryan, nobody knows what Mcnab looks like, and "Andy Mcnab" isn't even his real name, that is also a mystery

  • @NickFisher1994 It's not Chris Ryan. McNab led Bravo Two Zero (of which Chris Ryan was a member), so it's unlikely Ryan would "fill in" for McNab. Secondly, Ryan is from Newcastle I think, and (altthough I may be wrong) this accent isn't very Geordie.

  • Ex SAS, one of the best :) I'm currently reading his "Exit Wound" book.

  • look i am a 19 i pplay call of duy but i know alot about these things and andy mcnab is bang on with his explanations....i have been in the RAF for 2 years now been a pilot for just over 5 months and had ground training in assult rifles, close combat, long range combat and unarmed combat.... i used the M240 sniper rifle whilst training for long range combat and found that more than my gun my spotter was more important..im no expert in this field but know some things

  • @iMoDz114 Haha I am pretty sure there no such thing as and M240 Sniper Rifle

  • @MrCBC1996 M200 my mistake i am a pilot not a marine soryy for the mistake

  • @iMoDz114 I dont think Britain use Cheytac M200's lol

  • @iMoDz114 First of all - an M240 is a machine gun otherwise known as the GPMG or "gimpy". You have never fired one.

Secondly, because I now know you are obviously lying about using a weapon system, I highly doubt you are serving in the RAF. But you may be serving in the 2nd battalion Walt regiment - R coy (retard company).

  • @manchesterfellow is it really bothering you that my 12 year old son made a mistake...he wants to join the RAF and has obviously been playing too many games but if you dont leave him alone i will report you and then come after you i suggest you shutup and respect the thoughts of others even if they are wrong you can kindly say it is wrong rather than carryting it on your pathetic people like you dont deserve the air you breathe...

  • @iMoDz114 Yes it is really bothering me that your "12 year old son" made a mistake...

But what is actually bothering me is your threat - come looking for me if you like, but don't EVER speak to me like that unless you can back it up.

Also, if on the very (V-E-R-Y) slim chance that you are not a wanker who is using an excuse because he has embarressed himself on the internet - then what are you doing letting your son look at (and talk to people) inapropiate things on the internet?

    Shush.

  • @manchesterfellow 1 dont you talk to my son like that 2 i can back myself up i have history of violence so you shush cunt

  • @iMoDz114 I'm talking to you - you pathetic geek. Haha history of violence? Was that in the RAF you spiv? Get the fuck out of here.

  • @iMoDz114 I also have "a history of violence". I found a few scenes quite upsetting but on the whole a good movie. Another good Cronenberg/Mortenson collaboration is Eastern Promises, but if you don't like violent films i wouldn't recommend it. Saying that as you're the sort who looks at clips of guns on youtube you'll probably love violent films, so they're both right up your street.

  • @AADreamTeam my son was looking at the weaponry systems on the internet now leave him aloone or i will have you done for malesting children

  • @iMoDz114 Do you know what "molestation" means? how would you get me "done for it". By all means, refer my post to the IWF, i'm sure they'll take you seriously. If you are some kind of twisted internet genious and plan to hack my computer and plant malicious material (which of course is illeagal), then you have committed the cardinal sin of leaving a paper trail - your last comment. Let's put this to bed eh? (for the record this is directed to yourself and not your 12 year old son).

  • @iMoDz114 HAHA...ur funny kid

  • Snipers are key. They're good cover.

  • artic warefare!! epic gun

  • read this guys books everyone they are awsome. iv read 7 troop and bravo two zero and they are great. good insight into a soldiers life i think.

  • Andy McNab is a wanker

  • What program is this from?

Seems like a fun program to watch!

  • @theKaarvaag1 The clips are from Andy McNabs tour of duty. its a show about the bravery of British and American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

  • @snowboardingpro147 I agree.

  • what sniper is it the L96 cause it seems to be a good weapon but there are better like the Chytech Intervention and the Barret .50 well what is better (In real life probs the intervention cause it is the most accurate sniper in this period of time and it fires a beast of a round (Chytech's .408) and it has an avarage rate of fire

  • @ArcticAndyV2 just stfu

  • 0:47 I know what you look like now mr.mcnab! you cant hide this time!

  • ANDY McNAB IS NOT A HERO! yes he was a good soldier but its a Special Forces oth to not tell about you missions without command telling you so. as far as i have searched there is no proof that he was aloud so if someone finds some evidence, ill delete this comment!

  • @TheFuture22ndSAS Due to the extremely sensitive nature of his work while serving with the SAS, McNab has a legally binding contract obliging him to submit his writings to the British Ministry of Defence for review. If they pass it, he can get his writings published. As for "is not a Hero", he was the highest decorated serving soldier in the army when he left, with both the military medal and the distinguished conduct Medal. He also does a substantial amount of charity work

  • this dude writes books to right ?

  • Dang, that ping of the metal target is unreal compared to a 5.56...

  • It's an L96. Back when this was made (It was made as a segment of a programme called Andy McNab's Tour of Duty) The L115 was still being refined. The L115 didn't go into service till around 2008/2009.

  • @martywylde no the L115A3! didnt go into service till 2009 and that is a L115 because of the bigger barrel and the muzzle break plus you can easily see that the rounds he is holding are 338 lapure not 7.62

  • Some say that he has a life size tattoo of his face on his face, and that he sleeps upside down like a bat. All we know is, he's called Andy Mcnab.

  • hey look its bear grllsxD

  • How good is the L85A1?

  • @Roflzmahwoflz Shite, but the A2 works a lot better. SUSAT sight on a versatile, steady platform gives a good rate of accurate fire whilst keeping the dual qualities of reliability & lightness.

  • @RonnieJamesable They got rid of SUSAT and use ACOG now

  • @TristanDesnos I noticed that in an issue of camouflage that I borrowed. From what I've seen of them both (admittedly from MW2 and wikipedia) the SUSAT looks bulky and low-tech as theres just a bit thick needle whereas the ACOG has some nice luminous and accurate looking dots.

  • @N64isgreat I imagine that's the reason. I think, because the British Army is more in the public of late, the government is improving their kit in general. The Brits have the best training in the world, but have previously suffered from poor kit. Seems they're finally being given the stuff they deserve to do their jobs. Plus, we're getting rid of around 10,000 jobs - getting rid of all the fat c**ts! So, more money available!

  • @TristanDesnos If you look at american soldiers they're just dripping in kit but they usually can't tell the difference between Taliban and a friendly.

I'm glad the MoD have their priorities on improving our infantry's weaponry with the new sharpshooter rifle, the ACOG and the L115

  • @N64isgreat as well if u look at the new sa80 the have the acog on the back and an eotech sight on the front above the grenade launcher

  • @anypoerir you must be looking at the same picture that I saw. Yeah, that was a bit odd to me. Why would you need at as well as the acog?

  • @N64isgreat oh the acog is for firing rounds the eotech it for the grenade launcher

  • @N64isgreat - Yeah...friendly fire with Americans seems to be more a problem with US than other nations we're allied with. Seriously, knocking off the occasional contractor is one thing, but there are many stories of Americans firing onto their own positions out of ignorance.

  • @Roflzmahwoflz shit.

the L85A2 is the upgraded and very reliable.

  • AWM KICKS ASS!

    Even though this isnt one...

  • Chuck Norris in disguise

  • @andyhuangit It's not a super magnum you can tell this as it does not have a muzzle break, it's an L115A1 (note the stock doesn't have hinges),but yeah i agree with what you said about it not being an AWP because why would the army use an Arctic Warfare Police;)

  • what really scared me is his laughter

  • god thats really close to the civillian .308 winchester caliber ive used before, looks similar aswell :p

  • Cool reload.

  • .338 is .338 lapua magnum, there are millions of weapons using lapua magnum so jesus..

  • shame they dont tell you the distance to target. Still, good shooting though.

  • "it is a soldier's war." What? Unlike all those other soldier-less wars?

  • pilots, navy etc

  • @An0nEeMouse i think he means because some people dont think that fire fights are as regular as they are,

  • war on drugs?

  • @An0nEeMouse tbh i think he was trying to say that when it comes down to it, the government cant really do shit about what happens up close on the front line.

  • @An0nEeMouse yes, like the iraqi war in the early 90's, mostly sam sites and air force, no ground troops, obviously they were some, but in Aghanistan, it is all about ground troops

  • schimt n bender??

  • I find it halarious how people are questioning Andy Mcnab about weapons.

Listen kiddy's its not call of duty ok?

He was on the Special Air service, for years, and you actualy have the ignorance to question his knowledge of weaponary and combat.

    Ignorant morons.

  • I know its ridiculous.

  • you should know that one of the greatest skills of the SAS is asking questions, to learn, re learn , evaluate, re learn, if you dont do that in life you fuck up. Planning Preparation Prevent Piss Poor Performance (WO2 Fred Fearnley quote)

  • @panasonicazza Good point, although you might be exactly what these people who film this aimed this show at. This whole show could just be propaganda created by the government, andy mcnab doesn't have to be an exSAS there is lots of proof for and against that. Personally i only watch shows like this on saturday mornings for my hangover, simply because its easier to ignore their mistakes. I would never acquire knowledge off a show like this.

  • @panasonicazza the best comment i've read on youtube, THANKYOU!!!

  • @panasonicazza Andy McNab is a cunt. It was HIS fault the bravo two zero squad got split up and he ultimately caused the deaths of his mates. I have it on very good authority that he was arsing about and not watching the guy in front of him which ultimately got them separated.

  • @garystorey he heard a jet passin over head he whispered it up the line only that the guy in front was sufferin from hypothermia and didnt say anythin to chris at the front of the line so it was not andy mcnabs fault

  • @staffordshirebull909 well done, you've read the book. That isn't the truth though.

  • @panasonicazza That isn't actually Andy Mcnab. Andy Mcnab isn't even his name, it is a pseudonym. If you do some research you will learn that he keeps his identity well concealed.

  • @Southern661 You'll probably find it is him.

  • @Southern661 this is true his name is concealed due to national securuty a cliche i know but he is a top man and they never show former sas soilders faces in the public..... EVER even if they are ex

  • @Southern661 this is true his name is concealed due to national securuty a cliche i know but he is a top man and they never show former sas soilders faces in the public..... EVER even if they are ex although andy macnab might be a different story due to his publicity in the publishing world

  • @Southern661 this is true his name is concealed due to national securuty a cliche i know but he is a top man and they never show sas soilders faces in the public..... EVER even if they are ex although andy macnab might be a different story due to his publicity in the publishing world but notice they never show his full face,

  • Well the Bundeswehr uses the G22, then it must be something valuable, although I go with Mauser design, the GOL is my favourite.

  • He sounds like the GEICO lizard!

  • I need one of those!

  • its the L115A3

  • no its the l96 which mcnab is using in the video. they look very similar but the barrel is wrong and secondly the army wernt even using it at the time the video was made

  • @blobbyg10

The rounds look a bit bigger than the 7.62mm the L96 uses. I'm no expert though, so I'm probably mistaken.

  • He says its 338 cal, which is about 8.58mm.

    (7.62mm is about 308 cal)

A quick Google for 338 Sniper suggests that this rifle is an Accuracy International L115A3

  • yes u are right... it is an l115a3

  • 2007 the L115a3 wasnt out yet mate, its the rifle before it which is an l115a2 (or 1 i cant remember)

  • @nle4lyfe No u are wrong

  • Aritc Warfare Super Magnum

  • BRITAIN

  • im american i think andy McNab is awesome

  • 0:47 good side shot of his face.

  • i knows

you cat see much caus he has his bloody facy screwd up

  • Comment removed

  • What the fuck is an American doin on a British video?

Shut your mouth you little tramp

  • haha the american can't even spell faggots right

    grow up

  • As an American myself, I say he gives American's a bad name

  • fuck you, Andy Mcnab is great, btw SpokenFromTheFrount can you mension the sniper is called an Artic Warfare Super Magnum (AWSM) in the Describtion?

  • not Mcnab, another asshole in the comments

  • oh sorry m8, didn't make it clear rofl

  • Yankee cunt

  • Please excuse the douchebag, not all Americans are bad

  • no you're not all bad

there are a number of ignorant americans, but also british...and anywhere really :p

  • That is true, he would probably be the same if he were German, British, French or whatever. He is probably very spoiled, and as for me, my father is laid off and we don't get a whole lot of money

  • Sometimes money isn't the case. The kid probably has ignorant parents, or his views are influenced by the presentation of Brits on American tv (usually as people who are not all there) he's very ignorant and won't find his way through todays world where alot of diff cultures and nationalities are coming together. In other words: he's a fucking cunt

  • wait, sorry im slightly confused to what rifle this is. the l96 (as my non-extensive amount of knowlegde about sniper rifles tells me) is an arctic warfare magnum. this resembles one but im not sure it is. perhaps this one is just a magnum. plz explain

  • The L96A1 is the PM model - NOTHING to do with Arctic Warfare.

The L118A1/PSG90 is the Arctic Warfare model, these are based on the Arctic Warfare.

The weapon system featured is the L115A1 AWSM in .338 Lap Mag

  • The L96 is the British Army designation for the AWM, nearly same rifle, just a few very minor tweaks

  • wats this series called

  • andy mcnabs tour of duty

  • People forget that the spotter is the better of the two snipers.

  • More experienced, not necessarily the better one. The spotter has had more time as a sniper then the shooter.

  • He is the more "senior" of the two, let us put it that way. He defanently knows his stuff better.

  • My mates been qual'd for 17 years and he's rarely the spotter...

  • not always. I believe in the royal marines the better shot of the two is the sniper

  • I'm talking about US forces.

  • I thought he lost his teeth during the interrogation?

  • well, who says he doesn't have dentures man

  • is it just me or does that laugh have a touch of evil in it? lol

  • or u could just read the book

    if u like

  • thats an SV-98, nice sniper rifle

  • Erm, no it's not. It's the Arctic Warfare Super Magnum - L115A1.

  • oh my bad, seems like an sv98 but i was wrong.

  • correct, sv-98 is russian made, why would andy be using a russian rifle, AWM definetly, and it has a noticeable muzzle brake

  • ain't it a L96?

  • yes, it's the L96, the L96 AWM (arctic warfare magnum)

  • Nope. It's the L115A3. It fires .338 Lapua Magnum.

  • 96 uses 7.62x51 NATO

    his barrel looks really brown

  • If you're trying to say it's the L96 . . . It's the L115A3.

Watch the video, he tells you it's the .338 Lapua. =V

  • no, its not

  • aint that the L115A3 long range rifle ( or super magnum)

  • no, its the l96

  • NO IT AINT

  • yes, it is an l96, it fires the 7.62mm, the l115a3 fires a larger round, and looks a lot different

  • no it fires the .338 lapua round which is a 8.59mm (bigger than 7.62 if ur wondering) which is exactly what the L115a3 fires

  • you meant 7.62 match

  • huh?

  • Aesthetically, the AW series is all too similar.

The Weapon System featured fires the .338 Lap Mag, therefore has to be the AWSM. And going by the date, the System featured is the L115A1. So, I suggest you start sparking.

  • does the l96 also fire the lapua?

  • it does.

  • the .338 is the lapua

  • NO thats an AW Super Magnum

  • whats that netting on the end of the scope ive seen that several times but never saw the use of it

  • you mean that honeycomb thing?

  • it is an anti reflection device for instance if you were sniping on a sunny day the sun might shine onto your scope and glint you know the same way it does it with a mirror etc so that honeycomb bit stops reflection therefore keeps you unspotted.

  • Scrim Net - Reduces the glare.

  • google

  • nab=noob

  • McNab - lol

  • can someone tell me if thats an awp or awm

  • AWSM
