When fighting a soldier GET OFF THE GROUND

One thing I'm surprised you didn't mention and is a very common Scout strategy on Soldiers is utilizing rocket self-damage in your favor. When you run up on a Soldier and shoot him in the back point-blank, if he turns around to fire, you can eat that rocket provided you are full health and finish him with just a graze of a shot.

I've seen a fair amount of your scout vids and their is some repetition. You could make playlists that cover each class and your videos are helpful enough to do that. There's no magic tip to suddenly give you good aim. It's practice; don't watch videos expecting to get better instantly.

FaN (or soda popper) is good for a more hit and run style of scout play, where you get 2 quick shots off, run away, and then come back to hit them again.

Shortstop is more of a medium ranged scout type where you're staying back and just annoying opponents with shots. Not as much close range, but it's very effective if you're accurate

Scatter is good for all round, because the 6 shots really helps you survive long firefights

I personally like scattergun.

You forgot to mention any sort of high ground is good for soldier fights. It's so much harder for them to get that splash even if you're just a bit above them so that shooting at your feet makes the rocket hit a ledge.

Anyway, I always enjoy your scout tip videos. They've helped me a lot, but unfortunately the only thing I can improve it seems like is my aim.

Star, I normally play sniper, it is my favorite class, and I am having some trouble with my performance as sniper. I have a fairly good aim, I know where to hide, and I can get away pretty easy if im getting shot at. But the only problem is that Im just not doing good. I don't really understand it but my sniper has the second least points and I rarely dominate enemys. My time alive isnt very great and I normally do very bad overall. I just dont understand what Im doing wrong.

@varosanforever You can practice your tracking by using your mouse to follow your allies/enemies while not actually battling, that should help a bit with your aim. Playing heavy also helps your tracking since you don't have to worry about moving while shooting much.

@varosanforever Your sensitivity might be too high. Try to practice with lower sensitivity. You should be using more than your wrist as a pivot and more your whole arm sweeping across when aiming. Although personal preference, very few people can achieve competitive level aim with high sensitivity.

@varosanforever How I aim with scout is by strafing and moving around, without moving my mouse too much. You strafe and then only shoot when you line up your crosshair and your enemy. The good part about this, is that you keep a steady aim, and move erratically at the same time. cheers!

One problem i keep having regarding Scout is deciding which weapons to use in what situation, whether it be the map or the game type or the classes and/or skill level of players on the opposite team. I can never decide which item can be best used and always end up switching off a lot.

@MrRoblicious Best tip I can give you: Use the vanilla loadout. Always. Rarely if ever should you switch. Just use the normal weapons and find what situations you find yourself in. If you find a particular pattern after a week, or a month, then switch to help it. Otherwise, vanilla is pretty much best.

I preffer the force of nature shotty. It's pretty effective if you integrate forcejumping properly. The biggest problem with forcejumping w hile fighting a soldier is if the soldier is skilled at making arials, so i try to practice avoiding getting hit at all costs.

@CheyenneDaMan Jump over them. It's really, really difficult for them to get you with even a tomislav if you jump over them, and get them from behind. When they turn around, repeat it. Or you can just run around them faster than they can turn.

I even tried 0.7 sensitivity in desperation once, and I could hit things but i could never turn around 180 degrees nearly quickly enough. Any tips?
