@miller7660 As with all reels you should lightly rinse with fresh water after each use and periodically apply lube and grease. Accessing the one piece gear box can be difficult on this reel so you may want to send it in to a authorized service shop in the off season or our factory service center.

@miller7660 Yes the reel is rated for saltwater use. As will all reels be sure to rinse with fresh water and perform proper maintenance
