The Haunted Castle: Bill Tracy designed Dark Ride

Great job on the animation! I rode this ride when I was 11 years old and just 2 weeks ago at the ripe old age of 48. :) We're going back again tomorrow night to The Terrortorium in Oxford, AL. They've done a superb job of recreating the Haunted Castle and adding to it.

lol i remember this haunted house!!!! do you guys remember all of the bubble gum that people would stick on the wall of the ride entrance!!! this ride was famous for sticking your gum on the wall LOL... i did it every year we stayed at our condo @ regency towers!!!! RIP miracle strip

I misspelled the name of the ride in Oxford. It is the Terrortorium, not tarium. It has a walk through section as well as the dark ride. I also heard they are doing some upgrades to it for this year. It's cool to know that the Haunted Castle lives on after all these years even though it is in a different location.

Actually, the garage Halloween ride was just a temporary gig in Birmingham. This ride now has a permanent home in Oxford Alabama and it is called "The Terrortarium". It is open every year around the Halloween season and has a lot of the original props including the rotating tunnel.

Great video by the way! This was probably the coolest ride Tracy ever built..

I also worked at MSAP and was the Haunted Castle operator. I was there in 1983 - 1986 for the summers. I only worked the Haunted Castle the first year. I bet we worked together on the same ride at some point.

got to film Miracle Strip in Aug. 2001 , so sorry to hear it was demolished , I heard the condo that replaced it is now in foreclosure , what a shame, the rides were the best . R.I.P. Miracle Strip.

This was awesome!! I worked as a ride operator the last 2 years that the park was open. This definitely brings back alot of memories.
