Well as in a preinstalled word processor, iWork suite isn't preinstalled and is an additional 50 dollars but considering the price of my mac being 1,199 an additional 50 dollars is a little annoying to have to pay for. Of course the ironic thing is that most people i know and including myself just wind up buying or in my case using a friends version of Office for Mac although it is a steep 150 to pay. I love my Mac but i will never declare it perfect.
I dont know both platforms have their faults, i mean i have a Mac but I will hardly call it the best and since most computers are bought for work my Mac's lack of any word processor or powerpoint, especially the windows version. In the end depending on what you want to do with your computer should really affect your choice. O and price is a good bit of help too

@MattAlpha1 macs arnt really quality, its nit about looks irs about the performance of the machine itself, the pc hardware (cpu,motherboard etc) are usually higher quality and allot more powerful, let alone cheaper. We have imacs at out school, fairly new get them middle of last year. When we made videos on them the render time were huge (about an hour for a 1:30 video) so I emded up stopping It and doing it at home and it rendered in about 5 mins. Macs arnt as great quality as you might think

I have a friend who is a great fan of MMOs, but has a Mac, so he needs to come over to my house to play any of them.

@shadowlock no computers are designed for fun, there computer ther here to serve a purpose and its the fact that windows is a more widley used OS because that took off rather than the locked down version of the mac OS.
you cant have a "fun" computer
for the programing id say his right that its easyer to program on windows (im not any good at programing) becasue of the fact that there is more software available for windows

@Camster3 Quality over quantity. I found Xcode to be the easiest coding app on mac and pc.

@MattAlpha1 macs arnt really quality, its nit about looks irs about the performance of the machine itself, the pc hardware (cpu,motherboard etc) are usually higher quality and allot more powerful, let alone cheaper. We have imacs at out school, fairly new get them middle of last year. When we made videos on them the render time were huge (about an hour for a 1:30 video) so I emded up stopping It and doing it at home and it rendered in about 5 mins. Macs arnt as great quality as you might think

@efpro pc sucks, windows sucks!!! since I have mac Im pretty happy and I still have my mac since 3 years and has no problem at all!! fast, amazing, febore I bought a mac, 3 pc´s are on the garbage, they are sucks!
