i would like to see the downfall of the company belonging to those sick bastards who insructed you to burn members of a genus that is ENDANEGERED. god if i ever meet those people i would set them on fire! Keep up the good work guys you are a blessing to growers everywhere
OH MY GOD!!!!! why in hell would you burn Neps?!?!?!!? This isn't very different from burning people!!! Man... This is just plain sickening. Maddcatone, you are exactly right! Why should just one person be entitled to a cultivar??? Sickening.
This topic is actually strange. Imagine that meanwhile there is a kind of "gene-police" active in the USA to scrutinise if farmers grow corn containing MONSANTO "round-up resistant" genes. If they find this the farmer has to pay license for it or to terminate his harvest. A desaster and the same strange story of gene-license, but even worse with human nutrition.
Fucking reintroduce them to their climate or something, help boost the wild pop. Don't destroy them... dammit. I hope they hold the Nuernberg trials for this shit.. this is ghastly!
Wow, makes you really realize how fucked up our system of trade and government is. Because some schmuck decides he wants the entire cultivar to himself everyone else is ordered to destroy them. They are living being just as much as we are. stupid humans. I would never burn a nepenthes, no matter who tells me to. I'll kill a human long before I senselessly burn a bunch of endangered plants haha.
No wonder its hard to get some of this wonderful plants for your own private garden. If you can grow them from seeds or tissue cult. Who ever it is to have or want to share or purchase why not give.
This is torture.

agreed! I love Borneo exotics, but they should not have abided by the wishes of the law. Especially when the law is clearly WRONG!

Sometimes the law is blind.
