I have the desire hd, and i have used zte, i like both phones.

But i think htc is better. Mostly because of Sense with a little 3d effect, and the internet is really fun to use on it. But if you don't want to buy an used one, or a new one, go for zte

@Whatsthisbuttondo1 I don't think this test is really to show how much better the HTC is than the budget ZTE Blade, but rather to show how well the cheap Blade performs against the HTC. I have the Orange San Francisco (a Blade fucked up by provider Orange). It's rooted and flashed with Gingerbread and it flies along. Granted it doesn't have the screen real estate of the bigger smartphones, but then it doesn't need hands the size of a goalkeepers and a truck to carry it around for you either.

A rooted, overclocked (running overclocking profiles) ZTE Blade (orange san francisco), running on 32 -36 vm heap on a stable cyanogenmod, aslong as it's gen2 or upgraded to gen2 and aslong as you have moved all apps you can to SD and removed all uneeded apps (i do mean all, including live wallpapers, have nothing you do not need) and aslong as you use launcher pro then,,,

Belive it or not the ZTE Blade will outperform the HTC Desire as it comes as default striaght out the box (i have tested!).

My mother owns the Galaxy S5830. It's fast and it runs everything smooth. But the display resolution is too low for me.

The ZTE can be equipped with the CyanogenMod. Then it is faster and has a higher display resolution.

But the camera from the Galaxy is much better.

The processing of both is really good. The Galaxy is a bit more noble.

For me, the screen resolution is important. For my mother the styling: D
