@rakkipallo she was gonna quit the band anyway, and since the band didn't get along it's fully understandable that they didn't wanna record one last album with her. I would go as far as saying they should have replaced her on Century Child, when she had re-trained her voice. The upside of her classical studies is that she sounds much better with acoustic and orchestral pieces like this one, but much worse with metal. Just compare Sleeping Sun with its terrible 2005 remake.

She is great, but yet I cannot say that without Nightwish she is as amazing as she was with Tuomas' music. Her voice was born to sing for Tuomas' music (obviously it's my opinion), they completed each other. Annette is good but she is just a voice like many others..Tarja was the voice of the soul. :( what a pity..

hmmm.....beautifull without expression of other thoughts. Emotional content with her voice is quite a sound to hear. Her accent- something like irish, scottish, or finnish? maybe German? i can't tell, but it makes the music echo into the online streaming.....it's calming and yet it has a dominating sense. I like the instrumental, but the piano sems to dominate the set. interestig, and nice choice of music. =D

In fact, to nullify the comment slightly, I will further point out that it is simply a musical preference for this single song - but I actually think Tarja's departure from Nightwish was a tragedy and they are practically nothing without her. But I do prefer their arrangement of this song with her voice over her own.

I just love this version of the song! She sings it more naturally than on the Nightwish version (She was producing a too dark timbre to fit the heavy instrumentals there)... Here is simply fresh...and makes you dream trough fantasy, like the original version did too...

I definetly like both versions... for different moods, of course, But this one is Just Magic, I always have to repeat lol! Tarja learned to give more sensitiveness to what she sings, her voice flows and her timbre is pure Beauty!

If you were half the Tarja fans you think you are, you'd have seen her in that interview a month ago where she's still saying she's not getting back with them, that they're happy with their new singer and she's happy solo. Support her and move on or shut up and get the hell over it.
