  • ah right, yeah at end of vid it says 150 brake, thats more like it as to make 250bhp at rear wheels it would have to be super highly modified

    Sorry the 250 was genuine, we now have a new rolling road and expect around 240 next time the V8 comes in. The engine is over 11:1 CR 4.6 litre 600 weber, 360 inlet manifold, rv8 headers out the inner wings Special mods to the Econotune heads and a rather special cam...maybe you only have 150 at the wheels with your baby engine :)

  • @hips67 well thanks for the prompt reply Peter, what kind of cfm are those heads movin then? Maybe I ought to have mine done at yours then as it must be on the generous side. Mine was dyno'd last summer at 270 at flywheel.

    Hiya why not book in at £40 and see what you have on our on our new Dynocom Racing 1250 bhp rollers...we reckon 240 at the wheels will be about 265 at the flywheel so you must have more power than us, which means you ought to go racing as you would beat all the hiilclimb and sprint records set by our V8 which has inflated bhp according to you. The others Nick's car beats must have no power at all :)

    If you book in I will try and get the V8 in so you can see for yourself.

  • Since we have had our new rollers that do coast down

    tests we have been amazed at how much bull there is

    about how much bhp is lost through transmissions...nowhere near as much as most people guess at!! Mind you the

    big guess numbers are good for PUB TALK. The best V8 we have run on our new rollers is 326 at the wheels with

    28 and a bit measured(not guessed at)losses giving 352 at the flywheel. If you email me I will send you a copy of the graph.
