Hi there, yes I know about the relationship or lack there of between petrol and rattle paint, the job was a temp quick fix before a large ride, that said the paint is holding up pretty good and provided you wipe any spills away quickly it is fine.

BE CAREFULL with the rattle can paint on the tank!!!!!! Rattle can paint is not catalyzed and will melt if gasoline gets on it. Beautiful bike!!!!! I have a 1966 that im restoring. This is my second bomber restoration, the first was a 1965. And the best way to clean of rust from chrome is 000 or 0000 steel wool. Dont worry it will not scratch it!!
