  • man, how i loved when this track came on in the clubs! great times for sure.

  • This is one of the very first 45's I bought!!

  • Aww yea memories.lol

  • Those were the days of real FUNK !!! Yeah that was mamaaki !!!!!!!!!

  • ALL MY YOUTH

  • this has a similar vibe to "And The Beat Goes On"

  • I love the piano especially

  • Que tempo bom!!!! só aqui prá ouvir isso quando quiser muitas vezes!!!!! let´s go dancing

  • Make that move!!!! Don't play

  • i'm 16 and i loooooove this "80 music" but i dont know so much tracks. Anybody can help ? :S

  • @Pat3Run i can mail a nice list of similar music. greetings (feelgoodmusic)

  • @GalacticFreak that would be awesome *-*

  • @Pat3Run - check my playlist- Random, Saturday and Rockers and Milk. There's a solid base to start from. Enjoy.

  • @Pat3Run

you have to be high as Scarface to listen to this : (Act like you Know - Fat Larry's Band)

  • Incredible harmonies! Ahhhhh. It truly is a shame music like this doesn't exist today... Not even close. Thank you so much for sharing! You have impeccable taste.

  • A man who is serious makes the move on a woman, not the woman chasing the man. That's just my take on it.

  • @BeautyHealthZoneBlog We definitely see eye to eye on that...I'm a woman and I couldn't agree more.

  • still a great song all these years later.

  • Jody Watley was at the top of her game when this one hit wonder was recorded during the 80's music revolution...did I hear anyone say let's go to the Disco! This is still a hit in my view, huh!

  • :)

  • This is a groovy song. It reminds me of the Japanese cartoon: Cowboy Bebop. I imagine Spike Spiegel singing this song. I also imagine the rest of his friends playing instruments in the studio.

  • I could just spread my hairy legs and take a sloppy dump on a gay dude while giving head to another gay dude, and ya know, another gay dude gave head to me, and it sure was an orgy of hard gay sex when I put this song at FULL BLAST we we tapered off imagining Larry Craig and sodomy in an airport bathroom since political scandals are just bound to happen when gay sex happens.

  • @gaybathroomsex don't be dreamin',then!! Make that move!

  • @chipsperry I could just shove my rancid dick into a glory hole and give Larry Craig a golden shower hearing this song.

  • @gaybathroomsex NICE! LOL I say drop any available fluid(body or otherwise-used motor oil,Santorum juice, anti freeze, afterbirth etc) onto Larry Craig's gaping ass hole, and ram it home!

  • @chipsperry YEAH!!! THATS THE SPIRIT!!!

I'd also like to see you slime his ear with compressed sperm and just imagine what it'd be like if his hearing was distorted like that, probably sound as if he was on drugs.

  • Now this song brings me back to 54, oh my GOD! And I also have shades of remembering dancing to it at Palladium on 14th Street, but who friggin knows anymore, honeys, I was YOUNG then and didn't have grits for brains! Well, I guess I did, but for a different reason. Honey, it was FUN!!!

  • Can't get any better with this!!

  • sonzeira !!!!!!!

  • Oooo..... I picture blood cells, and quavers engaged in a sensual 70's dance pumped by the heart 's beat....

  • GIVE ME A BEAT!!

  • this song reminded me back in my funk days.

  • ah gars

  • Como para bailar deliciosamente.

  • Someone should remake this song. Lady ga ga?

  • @OldskolFan

Um no!!!!!!! Some songs should be left alone and this is one of them!!

  • @jaiskrilla You're probably right about that. Plus, only the record company, that horrible Griffey man, would make any money. Jodi wouldn't get paid so forget it, leave the classics alone....

  • @OldskolFan NO NOT LADY CACA!!!!!!!

  • @IAM7DEMONS Lol...Only because Ga Gag would make money for the song; it wouldn't be the same song though.

  • @OldskolFan vc ta e maluco !!!!!

  • @OldskolFan HELL NO!!! It's best left alone in its purest form

  • mon dieu que c'était beau ces années! jamais j'aurai penser parler un jour de la sorte ! alors que ce n'est même pas démodé, si tu passes ça en boite aujourd'hui t'en a pas un qui reste assis!

  • @thomasmoredamian 30+ years brother!!! :-)

  • i will never forget that moonwalk then but i thought it was called the "electric slide" back then, until jackson took it to the next level.. have you seen a performance of MJ and James Brown. ? i will send it to you , pure magic..

  • Remember SILVERBIRD ENTERTAINMENT? they brought many american artists to perform back in the days, before big business and COPORATE GREED got in the way..

  • shalama came to nigeria in 1981 and i saw them perform at the auditorium at the university of lagos where the moonwalk was shown to us waaaaay before it got to micheal jackson.. brings back so many memories listening to this.. they were so professional even when the lights went off "(N.E.P.A.!)nigerians know what am talking about there.. ) these guys where on point live and jodie was cute as a button..

  • @aitan844 :Do you know he (Jefferey Daniel) was in Nigeria as one of the judges on Nigerian Idol Contest.? He even posted some videos here on Youtube about his trip to Nigeria. This particular track and A night to remember drove me crazy and it still do. I'm jamming to this right now....lol.. as if I'm on Don Crnellius Soul Train ... Thanks to Youtube and aspichien

  • @omoibile see? i dont tell lies out of school, i remember that concert so well, americans have been coming to perform in nigeria for over forty yrs lol! its not a new thing... its just that back in those days there was no internet, no yt to show the performances.. There was also a famous actress, cant remember her name but i do remember the man she was married to MILES DAVIES.. LEGENDARY JAZZ TRUMPET PLAYER.. she came to UNILAG around this time as well, i also think MILLIE JACKSON came too

  • @aitan844 : My dad still have the pic of James Brown when he came in 1970. The Commodores with Lionel Richie came in 1977 or so. I like the track" Young Girls Are My Weakness" The bass is fire...lol.. Hey you remember The Third World with the dedication song for their trip to Nigeria " Lagos Jumping" The vid is here or you type Lagos jumping by The third world

    /I_bzSu2wQcE

  • @omoibile yeah, i think that sounds familiar am gonna look it up, i had forgotten about the early 80's! so many groups , outstanding vocalists great music and pure sound.. we were so spoilt back then, the choice was immense.. and unilag back in those days was a mecca for americans coming to africa to perform back then.. funny enough because there was no youtube, no BBM, no technology of the type we have now, those performances are lost to all but memory for the most part.

  • @omoibile hehe lagos jump i remember that song.. now that i have heard it again.. you tend to forget those things..

  • real music above the best

  • ヤバイ、Shalamarが止まらない。

  • You can go to any dance club right now with this song in hand and people will get on the floor and jam.

  • If there is anyone, female 'bout 40, slim, petit, intelligent and still loves to boogie to this and similar funky greats please,.........get in touch, life is far to short...oh, by the way, i'm in the UK but have a valid passport and will travel!...TSA don't scare me!!

  • @skiiddy Me!

  • I liked the way Jodie spun around in that dress, with the very low back...oh girl, on Soul Train. Don Cornelius dug it too, know what I'm say'n?

  • Love the bass line. Sounds like a Leon Sylvers joint. :)

  • @PaulaDDS It is a Leon Sylvers joint. His hand was in most of everything at SOLAR.

  • @Tsadik6251 Thanks! His sound is very distinctive. I can hear him on the Whisper's songs too. Soooo talented. I wish he and his family could have did better in the business.

  • @rachel1726 im 10...

  • @rachel1726 im 16 and im loving this

  • @rachel1726 That is definently true. I listen to this stuff all the time. My music goes way back like from the 1920's to early 2000's. Long live the 80's!!

  • @rachel1726 No actually, I'm 13 years old and I grew up around this type of music, I also listen to Earth Wind and Fire, SOS Band, Evelyn Champagne King, The Whispers and many more, none of the recent shit that they play nowadays.

  • @rachel1726 that's because kids nowadays totally worship Lil Wayne, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, and Bruno Mars. An era which is equivalent to rubbish.

  • Indémodable cette musique..... mdr ca me tue à la fin le "venez à Oignies"

  • @maessj98 Nope. Nobody want the bass guitar in rihanna songs. Sadly, the music era is over. Nowadays everthing is manipulation not music. Endtime nuff said

  • Brilliant piece of music.

  • thanks from french connection massilia

  • They were straight jammin', Damn!

  • Just make that move 'cause everyone needs someone to love <3

  • I'm 22 years old, I'm from Brazil and just love the music from 70s and 80s, especially italo disco, new wave and post-disco. Music today is just trash, meaningless and has no quality 30 years ago. Radio stations should play music like that. Thanks from Brazil

  • @Mrfatibello /I fully agree, sound of Shalamar/Trammps/Temptations/Earth Wind and Fire/ Kool and the gang is the best ever !!!
