I still don't understand exactly what condescending means. I mean, I've seen all the explanations and definitions, but then again, its like, it still doesn't make sense. Many parts of the US have metro area that are odd and have their own local culture and stereotypes. We can relate when we see about a neighborhood that is old or old hippy or black or redneck. Houston, Chicago, Miami, LA, NYC, they are everywhere. I loved this show and never stepped foot in Washington State.
Well, the humor in Almost Live! is very regionally based. Much of it depends on the audience's knowledge of Western Washington. As a result, it never really got widespread popularity outside of that regional demographic.

Vancouver will never have a show like Almost Live as it has a hard time laughing at itself.
