@AnimalAidz Because Chico will enjoy life better when he gets to work and do things rather than rot away in a pasture, feeling forgotten when noone can ride him.

(perhaps they could drive him instead, but that's not always an option either)

Plus, he'll get back when he is old enough to not work anymore.

One very lucky little girl and her younger sister very happy that we were willing to share Chico with them. He will be able to touch the hearts of other children who share the same love ....and when he is too old to be ridden, he is to return to us here at Fox Hill Farm to live out his Golden Years.

I cryed watching this. but my question is, WHY didn't you keep him for scottys children? for grandchildren? I'm sure that chico would have much rathered spent the rest of his days with scotty, even though he had outgrown him. this is a once in a lifetime bond with a child and his horse/pony. i could never get rid of it.. hope he went to home with a child this passionate about him.

Scotty broke Chico when Chico was 3 and Scotty was 5. Scotty learned how to ride through just about everything on that pony. I wish I had taped his "rogue" moments. By the time he was perfectly made, (and Scotty outgrew him), we sold him to a wonderful little girl to enjoy.

That was one of the most touching, beautiful and moving videos I have ever watched. Chico was a gift from God that helped Scotty grow up in a way that almost no people can. Chico really seemed incredible.

The bond between horse and man will never go away, no matter the distance between them. Chico has touched the hearts of everybody that has met him or even watched this video. But Scotty was the lucky child that got to grow up with such fond memories in a heart. God bless Scotty and Chico.
