I have the same trouble, even after playing it for over a year, but I would suggest that you use alternate picking whenever you can. Even the slow riffs which you would exclusively downpick. This will balance the muscle tension in your forearm due to the opposite motions, and you won't feel so much lactic acid build up from the repetitive action.
For the absolute first riff, the little palm-muted section after the chords can be played easily with one hand, and should, for the sake of cleanliness. The chromatic descending riff following that can be played with the first two fingers up until the four note group that starts the next repeat. Just message me again if you have further problems with other riffs.

I never really felt pain in my fingers (muscles or joints), so I don't know. Sometimes I feel pain, like after practicing The Poison Was The Cure (hehe) but then I just take a break and it's all over the next day.

I know the official tabs aren't even accurate themselves, but it looks like you're skipping some notes like on the riff of 1:14...at the end of it where it goes 3-4-2-3-1... damn i got a shitt guitar and a shitty amp and i really want to start learning something my fingers hurt
and my strings are too high i need to lower them i dont know how to :(

I never really felt pain in my fingers (muscles or joints), so I don't know. Sometimes I feel pain, like after practicing The Poison Was The Cure (hehe) but then I just take a break and it's all over the next day.

I don't remember how long it took me, but when I shed skin it grows back after about one-two weeks of not playing.

@jerrykane01 The Five Magics solos are way harder than those on Take No Prisoners, but the rhythm might be a bit harder on Take No Prisoners, but it's about the same difficulty on rhythm.

Sorry for being a stickler for accuracy, but are you just winging it or are you actually following the tab? I know the official tabs aren't even accurate themselves, but it looks like you're skipping some notes like on the riff of 1:14...at the end of it where it goes 3-4-2-3-1... Sorry again for being such a hard ass :3

@demonrule I thought it sounded right so I did it that way, I'm not sure if was following the tab, it's been a while. But I think I got tired of all the numbers and decided to do it my way and save some time for the solos instead ;)

@SwedishBerzerker and there's totally nothing wrong with that! I was just concerned that there was some sort of "revised" (read: more accurate) edition of the official tab book out there that I didn't know about >_< Just learning the rhythm parts of this song is a total pain in the ass if have no talent like me hehe. That one little part that goes 3-2-0-2-2-0-2-3 is killing me!
