Tuning is DADA. 4 corses - single strings (4 in total) - metal strung. Normally played with a pick not fingers (a pick would nornally have been a feather quill).

This is very interesting! Whenever you see modern reconstructions of medieval instruments, they're usually from the late Middle Ages/early Renaissance, i.e. usually no older than AD 1400 or 1500. It's nice to see a reconstruction of an even older instrument. Does this one have string courses, like a Renaissance cittern?
