i used to have a house like that, they ca survive by not practically living there. my sim live almost entirely around the downtown, have a shower at the gym, eat the restaurant or cook some food from his friend's kitchen and keep them in the inventory. he also sleeps in his friend's houses or in community garden. he goes to work and drive his harley davidson everywhere. (gotta go back home to pay bills from time to time though)

Your sims would die living there. Nowhere to shower, or have fun, or cook real food, not enough beds for everyone to go to sleep, no lights, etc. And it's obviously hectic because people have to wake up for the kid to go to the bathroom (imagine how the room smells). I could go on and on.... But I guess this house wasn't made for necessity or practicality; just to be the smallest... Even on a little bit of money without cheats, I'd buy stuff they need instead of walls and stuff.
