This woman is a liar, hypocrite, and an enemy of liberty. She says that invading Iraq is an example of the free market! She's nothing but a propagandist for tyranny. She'll take any example of FORCE and say that it's "free market".

She is what the soviets called a "useful idiot" - journalists, academics, and other so-called intellectuals who can deceive the masses with rhetoric that serves the Party.

She advocates the same or worse force and coercion over all of our lives. She's disgusting.

Slowly defunding government social programs until they're pretty decayed, and then pointing to it and saying "look what a bad job government does of this!. We must privatize it!" is a sort of con that's been going on for about 20 years. The end result can be seen in a lot of South & Central American countries (massive poverty for most, super-wealth for the rich, and nobody in the middle class).

Naomi Klein is some kind of genius! She has penetrating insight, AND can put her insights into accessible language and idiom. I wish she were running for president, but I'm sure she knows much better than to wish for that headache. As does Gore.

Another excellent point of Naomi Klein's here is that we need to be constructing the policies of peace now that the majority of war opposition is over. We need to reclaim the words freedom, liberty, and independence and put real meaning behind them again. When people hear these words, they should think of real events and actions, not connect them with a vague sense of patriotism.

Indeed she is amazing. Unfortunately there's almost a total black out in mainstream media on serious realities she covers and no politician is willing to commit the virtual political suicide of talking about it (since their career can be sabbotaged by media and corporate interest who will seek to destroy their image in the minds of people).

She is amazing, but she is not the only one. Noam Chomsky, Arundhati Roy, Howard Zinn, Edward Herman, Norman Finkelstein and Edward Said, to name a few.
