OK but Guillermo del Toro as a director . As for Alucard honestly I don't think there is any well known actor that can pull it off .They would be better off with a complete unknown that has two or three characteristic of alucard. This is the kind of character that can only exist in novels, comics and anime.

A live action movie wouldn't do justice to the series since the characters would be so hard to portray without being completely cheesy and overdone. Plus, no actor would be able to portray Alucard faithfully anyway. The closest and best you could get to it is make it CGI, similiar to Advent Children in terms of effects. That way the voice actors and designs can stay and the characters would not be ruined.

if they do manage to convince the studio to make the movie i really interested in seeing how well they can pull off alucards terrifying attacks and how much blood and torture they can let them use in the movie also i think seras needs a bigger gun

You go to a bunch of meetings, you submit stills and videos like this. That's how it works when you're shopping around for funding.

There is only one man that I think can direct a Hellsing movie and give it justice.Zack Snyder(director of 300,Watchmen,Dawn of the Dead and that Owls movie).Making it live action would actually give it a life of its own and I think there could be at least a few people that can play Alucard.
Now if I were to direct it,I would make it CGI animated and not like Tekken or Final Fantasy more like AVATAR cgi.That way Crispin can come back and I can choose the rest of the fitting voice cast.

Hellsing also has Vampire another thing the U.S has proven can also make good, as proven by Underworld and Blade. A lot more people enjoy seeing a hot girl in the leading role, then a bad ass guy who owns everything without much effort. And the name of the movie and the visuals would appeal to a lot more people, so it's more likely to sell better with a female lead then a male lead.
Alucard would likely get a role nearing the end where Seras simply can't beat the big bad, and Alucard shows up to save her. To fans it would be shitty, but to others, well, I just explained.

If this is true, and taking this trailer literally when it says "one soldier", then perhaps they could be making a film about *SPOILER* the thirty-year gap Alucard went missing in during the last manga. That would leave Seras by herself as the "one soldier". However, given it is Hellsing and Alucard is the poster man for the series, they must include him somewhere, be it memories, telepathic discussions or upon his awakening after the thirty years.

It's to bad that we can't have two actors play Alucard, because I watched Solomon Kane yesterday and James Purefoy went right into second place in my list of who should play Alucard, right after Adrian Brody. For anyone unsure, there is no Hellsing live action movie in the works. This was produced by an independent film company in the hopes that they could use it in a pitch to make a live action Hellsing. It never happened.
This is not real, you can tell by the announcer REALLY trying to strain his voice to reach "Optimus Prime" level timbre.
It is, however, a wonderful demonstration of amateur film making, complete with decent effects for Seras' eyes.
That being said, Hellsing is RIPE for hollywood. No wierd cultural notes to overcome (naruto, Bleach), no need to convert a fanbase (the movie "Van Helsing" brought in millions, and it sucked).
If this is real, I look forward to it, but of course they cant have someone as BAMF as alucard. Chuck Norris couldnt play alucard. But seeing as it was posted a year ago and no news as of yet, I would say it was scrapped.

Ceras Victoria is pretty much the only charakter with a story in Hellsing. Sure you have a few chapters/scenes of Entegra and 1-2 dreams of Alukard but Seras Victoria is the only one the story tells something about from the start to an open end. And i have never seen a movie/anime/ova/manga where the story of a human turning to a vampire is told as good as here.

@FlameofFaith94 Yes, the United States have proven that if it doesn't have guns and lot's of explosives they fail epicly. Luckily, Hellsing has guns and explosives. Hellsing also has Vampire another thing the U.S has proven can also make good, as proven by Underworld and Blade. So in theory Hellsing is right up their alley, because it has everything they are good at making.

A lot more people enjoy seeing a hot girl in the leading role, then a bad ass guy who owns everything without much effort. And the name of the movie and the visuals would appeal to a lot more people, so it's more likely to sell better with a female lead then a male lead.
Alucard would likely get a role nearing the end where Seras simply can't beat the big bad, and Alucard shows up to save her. To fans it would be shitty, but to others, well, I just explained.

I remember watching the original Hellsing anime and being pissed when I found out that that wasn't the actual storyline.
The whole story I suppose, would be..messed up. Like the Incognito ending to the anime. Just taking the same characters and roughly shoving them into a new plot doesn't mean that the new story will be at all good.

And like all fanfiction, you don't check it out looking for something better then the original, just an alternative to see what someone else might have done with the idea. It's a risk when you check out any fanfiction reading material, so it shouldn't be any different checking out a fanfiction movie right? At least that's how I see it. Those who don't know the real story, are just missing out, or will check it out. So no worries, eh?

If this is true, and taking this trailer literally when it says "one soldier", then perhaps they could be making a film about *SPOILER* the thirty-year gap Alucard went missing in during the last manga. That would leave Seras by herself as the "one soldier". However, given it is Hellsing and Alucard is the poster man for the series, they must include him somewhere, be it memories, telepathic discussions or upon his awakening after the thirty years.

@JHShadon133 I wouldn't object to that. The thing is that people have such over the top expectations of Alucard that i doubt he could be portrayed well. I mean if we want to see someone fight Alucard, then they better get mauled, a level of violence that's probably not gonna show up in a movie. Sires on the other hand has much more reasonable expectations and would easily please the plate of chick that kicks ass. I say have Alucard only appear in shadows and let Crispen Freeman do the voice.

It's to bad that we can't have two actors play Alucard, because I watched Solomon Kane yesterday and James Purefoy went right into second place in my list of who should play Alucard, right after Adrian Brody. For anyone unsure, there is no Hellsing live action movie in the works. This was produced by an independent film company in the hopes that they could use it in a pitch to make a live action Hellsing. It never happened.

This is not real, you can tell by the announcer REALLY trying to strain his voice to reach "Optimus Prime" level timbre.
It is, however, a wonderful demonstration of amateur film making, complete with decent effects for Seras' eyes.
That being said, Hellsing is RIPE for hollywood. No wierd cultural notes to overcome (naruto, Bleach), no need to convert a fanbase (the movie "Van Helsing" brought in millions, and it sucked).
Pull the trigger Hollywood, make us proud!

hey, maybe Alucard won't be the main character if this is real. Okay, we all know Alucard is a major bad-ass, but if you really think about it, didn't the story KINDA surround Seras Victoria?? I mean her struggle to NOT drink human blood?? And how she lost Pip, and the ending with her fighting is epic. Even though we all know Alucard's face, we have to admit that she played a BIG part. Besides, I enjoyed her story, it would be awesome if it was told on the big screen.

Ceras Victoria is pretty much the only charakter with a story in Hellsing. Sure you have a few chapters/scenes of Entegra and 1-2 dreams of Alukard but Seras Victoria is the only one the story tells something about from the start to an open end. And i have never seen a movie/anime/ova/manga where the story of a human turning to a vampire is told as good as here.

We all w8 for OVA 8 but who read the manga knows that even paladin Anderson shows respect for the new Ceras.
