I love the wenger! I carry mine on my key chain, but the plates have fallen off, so there is just steel showing. The knife and the file are hard to open. I think that I am going to carry my next one in my pocket instead of on my belt loop.

The only part about carrying a gun that could cause problems is when a cop pulls you over for something totally benign and discovers you're carrying a gun, chances are you're gunna be in a lot more trouble then intended. They'll be more questions, and possibly take more of your info down. If you get a crooked cop....may be even in deeper shit.

@AirsoftFtww TSA does not "get pissed" when you bring a gun to the airplane. It is a simple proceedure - locked box, ammo seperate, declare at the ticket counter.
Have been doing it for 30 years, and it is normal and common here. Have flown all over the country with it and it is not a problem.
Also not a problem to Canada of Mexico, with the proper guns and the proper paperwork, for hunting purposes.

@Bluetorchproductions There is nothing particularly extreme about a second gun, usually of a smaller size than the primary weapon, for CIVILIAN carry. There are many logical reasons for it. Need is not necessarily one of them.
This has nothing to do with neighborhood, but preparedness mindset. It is also a good idea to have less lethal tools as well if you have room for them and can find intelligent ways to do so without hampering your lifestyle.

i have that same gerber, last year it fell out of my pocketand into the snow, i thought it was lost forever. few months later the snow melted and i found it. it could barely open because it was very rusty in spots. i gave it a WD40 bath and a little TLC and got it to open, blade is still as sharp as new.(i no longer carry this knife everyday tho, now its just a cheap assested opening kniffe i got for 10 bucks, its sharp, cheap and opens fast)

@greengaurd my cars is an 02 vw passat even if someone does manage to get in which is very very hardthe car cannot start without the keys! for example the dead bolt locked shut it took the mechanic 2 days to open the door!!! and i do drive with the doors locked all it takes is a push of one button to lock all doors and i will have plenty of time to drive off while they try to open the door! and the windows are coated with film so if it is hit with something it will shatter but still protect you

it really isn't that much. I am either used to it, or expect to carry a "load" this heavy. I will take all of this stuff with me. Plus I have my EDC bag. Check out that video. If I have the bag, I will often put some of my pocket items in the bag.

The laws are different from state to state, but where I live places can post "No Firearms", but that doesn't mean anything legally. The signage may even refer to a law (ie Sec 147.244.3357), but that doesn't matter. Schools, Hospitals, and govt buildings (in my state) are pretty much the only places that you can not carry.
@darb1017 I don't know about your state, but here in TN ANYONE can post the no guns sign and a CCW holder cannot LEGALLY carry on those premesis; I have no problem with it; I contact the establishment by phone, email the company, and assure them that my family will NEVER spend one cent at their business....ever. I assume that they probably have to have a lawyer do some paperwork for them to get the "Weapon Free Zone" sign. I think those signs are put up to protect employers from employees more so than customers.
No, no lawyer needed; all that needs to be done is the sign be put up in "a conspicuous place at every public entrance". Businesses and individuals have the legal right in Tennessee to disallow CCW if they so choose; we carriers equally have the right to not spend our money there. Not surprisingly, VERY few businesses post the sign. Memphis is the exception- many convenience stores have them up but that's about it. Gun free zones are killing zones. Wear it!

Since it is a business it is somebodies property. As a property owner they have the right to disallow anybody to enter if they have a weapon. Just like if you don't want anybody in your house with a weapon. No lawyers needed. Personally if I was the store owner I would be uncomfortable with people carrying a gun into my store. Who knows how bad their aim is. I would take care of business with my own gun.
A business does NOT mean that they own the property. Most businesses are leases. In Ohio a property owner does NOT have the right to disallow CCW. If you have the permit, it is legal...just like when driving, you need to have a license. If you invite someone into your home and they have a weapon and you don't feel comfortable with it, you can go get you gun, that you said you have, and make them leave. What is a ccw holder came into your business right after someone knocked you out and kept....

its not about whether you do or dont need a gun every day. The reason many of us carry guns is because we just don't know when we will need to use it and the only way to ensure that we have it on the day where we need it, is to make a habit of carrying it diligently. Its like ID for us, just because we carry it everyday, doesn't mean we use it everyday, but when you do need it (ie-buy alcohol, verify credit card, etc) we will know rest assured it is with us.

@AirsoftFtww TSA does not "get pissed" when you bring a gun to the airplane. It is a simple proceedure - locked box, ammo seperate, declare at the ticket counter.
Have been doing it for 30 years, and it is normal and common here. Have flown all over the country with it and it is not a problem.
Also not a problem to Canada of Mexico, with the proper guns and the proper paperwork, for hunting purposes.

@Bluetorchproductions There is nothing particularly extreme about a second gun, usually of a smaller size than the primary weapon, for CIVILIAN carry. There are many logical reasons for it. Need is not necessarily one of them.
This has nothing to do with neighborhood, but preparedness mindset. It is also a good idea to have less lethal tools as well if you have room for them and can find intelligent ways to do so without hampering your lifestyle.
There is NOTHING unusuall about semi-autos.

Conversely, England bans most handguns, and has a murder problem with guns.

i have that same gerber, last year it fell out of my pocketand into the snow, i thought it was lost forever. few months later the snow melted and i found it. it could barely open because it was very rusty in spots. i gave it a WD40 bath and a little TLC and got it to open, blade is still as sharp as new.(i no longer carry this knife everyday tho, now its just a cheap assested opening kniffe i got for 10 bucks, its sharp, cheap and opens fast)

@greengaurd my cars is an 02 vw passat even if someone does manage to get in which is very very hardthe car cannot start without the keys! for example the dead bolt locked shut it took the mechanic 2 days to open the door!!! and i do drive with the doors locked all it takes is a push of one button to lock all doors and i will have plenty of time to drive off while they try to open the door! and the windows are coated with film so if it is hit with something it will shatter but still protect you

Great vid. Very realistic EDC. I just have one query - Would you consider carrying a flashlight with a bit more throw? Don't get me wrong - the keychain lights are awesome, but I find that I'm constantly needing more light and more distance. I guess it depends on where you are and your lifestyle. The laws are different from state to state, but where I live places can post "No Firearms", but that doesn't mean anything legally. The signage may even refer to a law (ie Sec 147.244.3357), but that doesn't matter. Schools, Hospitals, and govt buildings (in my state) are pretty much the only places that you can not carry.

I assume that they probably have to have a lawyer do some paperwork for them to get the "Weapon Free Zone" sign. I think those signs are put up to protect employers from employees more so than customers.

No, no lawyer needed; all that needs to be done is the sign be put up in "a conspicuous place at every public entrance". Businesses and individuals have the legal right in Tennessee to disallow CCW if they so choose; we carriers equally have the right to not spend our money there. Not surprisingly, VERY few businesses post the sign. Memphis is the exception- many convenience stores have them up but that's about it. Gun free zones are killing zones. Wear it!

There was a guy in a hospital cafe that pulled a gun to rob the place, 3 guys had CCW's and the guy dropped his gun and surrendered. Here you cannot Carry in a hospital, Here was a situation of 1 bad guy and 3 good guys with weapons where its illegal.

No carry in hospitals here, either; those guys were NICE- someone pulls out a gun in front of me and points it at an innocent civilian, I won't say one single word. I'll shoot him in the back of the head, then dial 911.....I'm all about making examples out of violent criminals. Puts fear into their hearts, makes them wonder if the woman they're thinking about robbing will put 2 in their chest. Peace, and Merry Christmas!

Since it is a business it is somebodies property. As a property owner they have the right to disallow anybody to enter if they have a weapon. Just like if you don't want anybody in your house with a weapon. No lawyers needed. Personally if I was the store owner I would be uncomfortable with people carrying a gun into my store. Who knows how bad their aim is. I would take care of business with my own gun.

A business does NOT mean that they own the property. Most businesses are leases. In Ohio a property owner does NOT have the right to disallow CCW. If you have the permit, it is legal...just like when driving, you need to have a license. If you invite someone into your home and they have a weapon and you don't feel comfortable with it, you can go get you gun, that you said you have, and make them leave. What is a ccw holder came into your business right after someone knocked you out and kept....

hitting you over the head, would you want me to leave you to possibly die defenseless, or would you rather I help to protect you? I find it odd you ask these questions, since you have a gun. Why not get your CCW and carry all the time? Wouldn't you want to know the laws about carrying in your state? Back to your business. If you do not want someone there, you can always ask them to leave, if they refuse, it is trespassing. What state do you live in?

Ahh, you are in Cali. Whole 'nother world when it comes to guns. Like you said In AZ you CAN see people carrying AK's on their or open carrying a pistol. However I have only witnessed 2 people with guns when I was in AZ. 1)A Security guard, and 2) a police officer.

@doughnutugy1 Ask the families of those killed at VT if they wish someone there had a handgun and you'll get the idea....and we CCW folks do not frequent establishments that do not allow us inside as legally armed citizens. We go elsehwere. BTW- Wal-Mart, Lowe's, Home Depot, most major chain convenience stores, Kroger, Target, Petco, ALL allow CCW.

i mean no disrespect, i would really like to travel there. but the fact that everyone has a gun scares me quite a bit, gun owner ship is quite low in Australia, and to be honest i have never seen a gun in real life except for a Smith & Wesson Model 10, which is standard issue for Victorian police. i just wanted to ask, have you ever needed to use your gun in an emergency?

your statement is what is wrong with peopel today they have been brainwashed. the bad guys have guns they dont care about teh laws. to get your CCW you have to do a full FBI backgroud. so you should feel safer knowing so many law abiding citizens carry. when i lived where you could OC people were always so polite.

its not about whether you do or dont need a gun every day. The reason many of us carry guns is because we just don't know when we will need to use it and the only way to ensure that we have it on the day where we need it, is to make a habit of carrying it diligently. Its like ID for us, just because we carry it everyday, doesn't mean we use it everyday, but when you do need it (ie-buy alcohol, verify credit card, etc) we will know rest assured it is with us.
