I like your xterra. I have one. But did you paint your plastic that is Usually gray, black? If so please tell me what you did because I want mine painted
@Chet0115 You can buy a solenoid that works buy pulling a cord. Any truck parts dealer will have ALL the parts you need to make a truck horn in your car. Compressor, air tank, air fittings etc
any tech info on this rig? I have a 4Runner, and have acquired a 24" Grover and a 14" Grover and am trying to figure out how to install them...how big a tank, how big a compressor, etc...DO TELL!!
I have a 12v Viair 450c compressor and a 5 gallon air tank that I run for Onboard Air, that I also run the horns off of.
I use a pressure switch (80psi-ON 100psi-OFF) to keep the tank full. Higher pressure will overpower the horn solenoid, and the horns won't work.
You can also order a smaller compressor and tank directly from Grover Products, which I used on a previous vehicle, and it worked great. I believe it's about a 2liter tank.
Very nice! I have had truck air horns in my 3 latest cars. This video convince me that I now will install a pull cord too, to get the right feeling.

I have a '04. Where do I get a bumper like that?

what psi are you running through the 1601's?
ZombieSoldier01 8 months ago
@ZombieSoldier01 1601's sound best at 130-140 psi. Anything higher will damage them.
