  • Very nice! I have had truck air horns in my 3 latest cars. This video convince me that I now will install a pull cord too, to get the right feeling.

  • I have a '04. Where do I get a bumper like that?

  • what psi are you running through the 1601's?

  • @ZombieSoldier01 1601's sound best at 130-140 psi. Anything higher will damage them.

  • I like your xterra. I have one. But did you paint your plastic that is Usually gray, black? If so please tell me what you did because I want mine painted

  • i need this on my Nissan Cube, it sounds like a girl fart when i press the horn =P

  • HAHAHAHA Nice!

  • I have a dixie/dukes of hazard air horn on my xterra:)

  • That is not a Nissan, that is a truck. ;-)

  • this is just awesome.

  • Can you tell me how you rigged the pull cord and where you put everything? thanks!

  • @Chet0115 You can buy a solenoid that works buy pulling a cord. Any truck parts dealer will have ALL the parts you need to make a truck horn in your car. Compressor, air tank, air fittings etc

  • Damn now that will own some face! Very Awesome! I have some on my truck check them out. Tone is a little different though.

  • I think you need a louder horn. LOL!

  • I gotta get one of these for my X. Where'd you get it?

  • Which model horns are those?

  • They are Grovers, I believe Dual Truktones

  • @clusterpup Its the Grover 1601.

  • Love the pull cord.

  • sounds like the horn on our engine

  • You have a pull cord in your car HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Is that a Shrockworks bumper?

  • Yes, it is.

  • people next door love you huh

  • haha, I don't usually use the horn in the neighborhood.

  • good cause id be pissed lol

  • is there a lift on it ?? or is that just the tires

  • 2inch Body lift, and suspension lift, plus the 33" tires.

  • HAHAHAHAA!! VERY GOOD!

  • Oh? How much did it cost???

  • what type grover are you running?

  • awesome thanks!

  • any tech info on this rig? I have a 4Runner, and have acquired a 24" Grover and a 14" Grover and am trying to figure out how to install them...how big a tank, how big a compressor, etc...DO TELL!!

  • I have a 12v Viair 450c compressor and a 5 gallon air tank that I run for Onboard Air, that I also run the horns off of.

I use a pressure switch (80psi-ON 100psi-OFF) to keep the tank full. Higher pressure will overpower the horn solenoid, and the horns won't work.

You can also order a smaller compressor and tank directly from Grover Products, which I used on a previous vehicle, and it worked great. I believe it's about a 2liter tank.

  • hahaha, awesome!
