I am an aspie, diagnosed at 57. Its genetic and in our family for generations now we can look back with knowledge. Yes there are many faces and parents need to learn to adapt to all individual children, no two are alike, not even identical twins.

wonderful video, what people don't know is that there are many, many diffrent faces of autism. My grandchildren both have it; my grand daughter has pdd, nos and my grandson is 18 months old-and only yesterday started to say Mama. I'm blessed to have them in my life, and I thank God for them everyday, but it breaks my heart--they are so so special, and so pure and innocent. Nice to know that there are other kids out there like us. I understand that I myself is on the spectrum although I'm mainstreamed in regular classes with one extra teacher in some classes. I have a friend at school, Max, and he has Autism and he is mainstreamed like me. I understand so much about him and how he likes to wear certain things like I do and let him know about changes.

Beautiful!!! I am a father of three boys, the oldest being autistic. He is the living proof that with love, faith and pure enthusiasm, miracles can happen -he went from only being able to mimic animal noises at 24mths to having over 500 words by the age of 4 plus entering mainstream nursery/kingarten on-time. Believe in your child and you will move mountains!

My brother was diagnosed with autism five years ago now. We were forwarded the music video on a page. I can't hear this song without crying no matter how many times I hear it.

What frustrates me is how common it is, and how few people know of autism. I wish it was possible to raise more awareness.
