no disrespect to the late Mr.Jackson but was never really a big fan of this song when first heard it by him. B-U-T after hearing MIss Ross' version the song quickly became one of my most favorite of all her great recordings. her voice blends so well with the arrangement and lyrics. thanks for posting this beautiful version by our beautiful Diana.

Diana sang the song to get michael's attention. They had a falling out and she was trying to get his attention. Mj was still bitter with about what she did to him. so she sang this song and delicated it to him. it worked because in 1996 they reunited or recondile their friendship. That why diana sat on his lap at the 1996 WMA and she also presented the brother with their award at the rock and roll hall of fame. she was trying to get through to mj and it worked. she was also single at this time.

Diana has THAT voice- something about it is just so recognisable... this would have been mid-late 90's, over 30 years after she started her carreer, but she has not changed. i keep hearing her songs on the radio, and i know its her immediatly, even if its one i havnt already heard! the same with Michael- he is just so recognisable. most beautiful song, sang by both of the most beautiful people. xxxxx you are not alone Michael!

I didn't know Diana Ross remade this song. When did she do her version? I never heard this before but she sounds great on this song. I love it. R. Kelly wrote it, Michael Jackson recorded it and Diana Ross covered it, connecting 3 of my favorite artists.

Miss Ross covered this song just 1 year after Michael recorded it, in '96 for her love songs collection "Voice Of Love". It has never been released in America, which is a shame! And you can bet she was singing it *TO* Michael!
