  • @notlitotes1 great question! how could i have forgotten?

    nom - Sie

    gen - Ihrä / Ihräs / Ihri

    dat - Ihnä

    acc - Sie

i will make a video about it!

  • Du, du hesch imfau ganz tolli videos. Ig ha kei ahning wieso ig bi dir subscribed bi aber i finge di haut eifach sympatisch :)

    Du no schneu eh frag:

Hesch du dr'Zürcherdialekt? I finges drum no witzig de mitem Bärnerdialekt z'vergliichä :)

    Grüessli us dr'Houptstadt !

Umleitig - Vereenegig - Umgebig, usw...

  • Ich gloob, däss schwierigschte ont schwyzzr Sproch isch, däss mrr Hochdüütsch schriebet obrr its goos oodrst ussprieche doot.

  • @Maryangel24

I bin düütsch unt ko gor ka schwyzrrdüütsch - I hän oy blous veräpple wollet.

  • @ryli182003 oh und: was möchtest du denn in zürich erleben? was würdest du gerne sehen? :)

"ich möchte dich häufiger sprechen" would have been correct. or "ich möchte oft mit dir sprechen". :) du benutzt das "zu" zu oft :) man sagt nur "zu + inf" im nebensatz mit um, e.g. "..um zu gehen" (maybe other times too, but i can't think of them right now).

  • @Maryangel24 Ja, ich verstehe ueber einen verrückten stalker. Ich habe fünf Schwestern. Sie haben viele stalkers. Was möchte ich in zürich erleben....? I had to look up the word for "place". I don't know if "ein Ort" is the right word?

  • @maryangel24 how did you like the USA? BE AS HONEST AS POSSIBLE! i hear negative things about the states all the time and i can completely understand those complaints.

  • @ilovcandy091 whoops, only just saw this comment. i liked it :) well, actually, it depends. i was in NJ, NY and PA. i LOVED people in PA, very friendly and warm. in NYC, everyone was sooooo stressed all the time, people weren't that friendly. but then again i guess that's the case for many big cities. i was shocked at how many "sweets" sections you had - every shop/store/restaurant was selling so many sweets, desserts etc - and HUGE ones. :S

  • @AGNOSTICRUL3S danke! :D kann ich gebrauchen, haha.

  • I'm actually glad you make these videos :) I'm half Swiss and I've been trying to learn German/Swiss German but it's too hard and complicated :/ but it's a little easier with your videos ahah :)

  • @EllyEri96 aww, i'm really glad these vids are helping people. i saw you're from australia, whereabouts? :D i spent 4.5 months on the goldy :D

  • @Maryangel24 from perth,

awww truue (: did you like the goldcoast ?

haha yeaah they really do help :) im going to Switzerland again in June and i feel bad that I can't talk to Grossdady with out our conversation always being translated hahah

where abouts in Switzlerland are you from ? :)

  • @EllyEri96 ooh perth, defo want to go there some time too :) yes, i LOVED it very much, it was absolutely beautiful there.

awww, haha. well, i'll have to make heaps of new vids then, won't i. we've got to have you ready for june :D i'm from zurich, whereabouts does your "grossvater" live? :)

  • @Maryangel24 well that's goood :) awww, that's actually soooo nice of you! but you don't have to, i would feel bad if you made a lot more videos then you usually do just for me, especially if you don't have time or anything ahahah

aw i've been to zurich many times ! great place :) my Tante lives there :) my grossvater's from alpnach, i don't know if you've heard of it it though , it's like in obwalden or something aha(:

  • @EllyEri96 aww no worries. i'll just make them when i have time, i'll try and make more than just one a month tho. and if there's something specific you want to learn, let me know :)

awesome!! glad to hear you liked it :D alpnach, nope. ofc i know obwalden, but alpnach sounds like one of those little not well-known villages :D

  • @Maryangel24 awwwww dankeeee :D

ive alwaays wanted to say chuchichaschtli! hahaha but all of my relatives have tried explaining it to me but it's like impossible D: ! ahahaha

aha yeaah, no one really knows alpnach it's like 30 mins away from Luzern or something haha

so how long did it take you to learn english? :)

  • @EllyEri96 hahaha, i love making foreigners say chuchichästli or chäschüechli :D ok, i'll make a video then trying to explain to you guys how to say it properly :D you'll be able to impress your relatives heaps, haha.

oh gee, good question. i had it as a subject at school for 5.5 years, but that's only how i learned the basics. everything else i learned by watching a lot of english movies/youtube videos, by listening to the news in english, talking to people in english etc. and ofc, spending..

  • @Maryangel24 ..some time in aus really helped my fluency. but it's really difficult to decide on a time frame - i mean i'm still learning :)

  • @Maryangel24 haha yeah i saw one of your other videos, and you mentioned something about chuchichaschtli ahaha :)

i read to make the "k/ch" sound, you have to shape your mouth like you're saying "eee" sound and have a flat tongue then go "kk" haha hard to explain :P

aw truee:) everyone in Switzerland knows at least a bit of english from learning at school ! ahahah

but 5 years :S aha how long do you reckon i could learn in aboutt 3 months? :P

  • @EllyEri96 haahah that's waaaay to complicated. just do the "accumulating saliva" sound :D like you're about to spit. that's pretty much what the ch sounds like :)

hmm i'd say you can learn some useful basics, 3 months is enough time :) just to get by, i wouldn't concentrate on grammar or stuff like that, more like certain expressions and words :D

  • @Maryangel24 hahah well i hope i can manage to say it one day(:

yeah i hope 3 months is enough time, i know it sounds stupid but i really want to & seriously can't be bothered learning, then i think "im just gonna learn tomorrow" then the next day i say to myself "i'll just learn some tomorrow" and never end up doing much ahahaha

ok thanks for the advice :) i'll just do what you did and listen to swiss german videos and stuff and hopefully pick it up(:

  • Thank you once again; another useful video :)

  • @MoonshineGuitars thsank YOU for watching and the nice comment :)

  • Thank you once again; another useful video :)

  • @AshrafEissa1 aww, thanks my friend :)

  • Great video!

Hope your hay fever gets better. :)

  • @awesomeman098 heya dan, thank you! :D

also, thanks, tho i doubt it - usually lasts till may. oh well :)

  • i just started watching all your swiss german videos trying to learn them. after about ten minutes of me making pathetic attempts at saying the words out loud, my mom came into my room because she thought i was choking haha :) i'm pathetic at new languages!

i hope you're feeling okay! hay fever does not sound good :(

  • @yellowsubmarine615 HAHAHAHA awww hunny :'D yeh, i guess it's not the softest-sounding" language out there xD but i highly doubt that you're pathetic at it, it's just an unusual language! :)

thanks - i'm pretty sure it won't tho, usually lasts till may :((

  • O.O O.O O.O ,...........Wibble :S ,... Oh i dont know, it sounds all german to me, or maybe Swiss German, not that id Know =DD Good luck with your Uni studies Mary :))

  • @five4orever heya hun! :D haha, it's swiss german indeed :)

thank you, i need it, lol. how have you been anyway? i miss you all, but it's better for me if i stay off DB for a while, i spent way too much time on it :/

  • @Maryangel24 im ok , i think :D thanks for asking :) i have some studying to do myself, but i just havent gotten round to it :/ think i may have to Force myself to Read, i just dread reading, cos its so frustating :/ hope your studyings going well though :)) and its Good that your being firm with yourself, or your future would suffer, and we Dont want that now :I :) take Care Mate :)

  • @mrjoel7896 sooo? they have other great players :D the pies will SMASH YOU. :D

  • I always like listening to your voice and the hearing the differences between Swiss german and german!

  • @thekingofdefford must be funny for you to hear the differences between swiss german and german :D maybe you'll be able to surprise your relatives in germany with some swiss german sentences next time you visit them :D

  • Mary be my pen pal!! I can send you letters in butchered German :P

Another awesome video; I'm learning more from these than I did at school!!

  • @rshortvideos haaa, i'd love to be your pen pal, rosiiie :D feel free to send me "butchered up" messages whenever you feel like it.

haha aww, too kind. glad to hear these are somewhat helpful tho :) ♥

  • Would all these pronouns be used in all dialects of Swiss German? (Keep up the good work.)

  • @kosmodrone aww nope, unfortunately not. they'd be understood by all swiss-german dialect speakers and there are a lot of cantons with almost exactly the same pronouns, but e.g. in bern you'd say (for the polite form) "öich" instead of "ihnä" and (again for the polite form) "dir" instead of "sie". but usually, it's similar e.g. mier, mer, miir, mr are some of the different pronouns for "mir". and thanks :)

  • Is there any rule to the reflexive version or is it just something you guess at? Strange to me. I'm taking English 3 right now, very difficult for some reason. I guess I'm just not very good at languages in general XD some people have it, others don't.

Do you still have hay fever? If so get well soon!

  • @DomWrath yeh, i'm pretty sure there's a rule, i just didn't think it through and couldn't remember while i was recording. i'll give it some thought and let you guys know in my next SG vid ^^

ooh english 3, what is that? aren't you a native speaker anyway, why do you need an english course? O_o

haha it's the same with every subject tho - some people are good at maths, some aren't. some are good at languages - others aren't.

yeh, usually lasts till late may :(( cheers anyway x

  • @Maryangel24 sounds like a plan!

English 3 has to do with certain tenses, moods, voice, pronoun case, and other usage elements- so far anyway. In school you are required credits in English class, and I believe you can take even more advanced classes later for extra credits so you can graduate [which is useful for me since my school doesn't have many credit classes, like computers, other languages, ect.]

Hopefully you are well before Carnival!

  • @DomWrath that sounds pretty good to me - gosh i love languages :D hearing linguistic terms makes me all fuzzy in my tummy, hahah. good luck with the course :)

    and again, thanks dom!

  • cunsch is FB??

i ha di en fründschaft gsendet!! bes bald
