Bear in mind that, being one of the, if not the, most powerful synth on the planet, every single aspect of the sound is fully modulatable. Not realistic enough? Just play around with it -- that's what synths are for!
the classical guitar sound on even my Tyros 2 blows this out of the water. Korg has always been one synth generation behind as far as acoustic sounds go. Yamaha is the best for acoustic sounds on a keyboard, check out the sounds of Tyros 4, Motifxs XS, etc, you'll see
I'm not really impressed with the Korg's M3 Guitar Sounds cuz some of them sound like a sound from a toy keyboard, dont get me wrong the M3 is awesome,I mean why play guitar parts on a Keyboard when you can go out and buy a Guitar? an 8 string guitar would do it for me,and the only sounds I like from Keyboards are Pianos,Organs,Synthy sounds for techno,Lead Keyboard type sounds you would hear from Metal Keyboardist
Hey, just wanted to let everyone know I've left Open Labs and started a new company called Music Computing. Check out the new gear at Music Computing or click the link below for videos. - Thanks, Victor Wong
I see people trying to dog the M3 guitar sounds but, Its not the sounds its the programming. There is a few guitars I programmed that sounds a lot better. Its the programming people. Beside any keyboard is not going to sound 100% natural because it is not a real guitar duhh
Hi could you do this but with the piano and electric piano sounds plz.... ive been looking for a video showing the different piano presets on the m3 but cant find any thank you
I have the Kurzweil 2600 and 2661, recently added the Korg M3 88. They are 2 different beasts, and they both have a purpose for me. I love the M3 But my Kurz is my fist love..
Some sounds sound better after you practice how to articulate the structure, I have great guitars on both keys, but I never bought it to play guitar on anyway, for that I use my guitar. Good job dude!
Korg cannot compete with Roland, Kurzweil and especially Yamaha for guitars (both electric and acoustic). These acoustic guitars aren't much better than what they offered in the 1995 Trinity. The Yamaha Motif ES and XS blow these sounds out of the water as do the Roland Fantoms and even Kurzweil... my PC361 has way better guitar patches!
Korg will never learn to build good instrumnets with realistic, fat sounds. M1 was great in the early 90's. since then they never could keep up with roland, yamaha... korg piano sounds are just awful. even on the 7000 euro-toy "oasis".
Wow, the guitars on the M3 are really poor! My old Kurzweil PC1X blows them away! I was considering replacing it with an M3, now I'm not so sure. It does have a lot of strong points, but the guitars sure as hell aren't one of them!
I really hate the way the guitars sound on the M3. I would have sold it if it weren't for how much I love the combis. I much prefer the guitars on my motif xs, specifically the slide nylon guitar.

I'm getting an M3 in a few weeks and I was wondering, does the M3 have speakers or do you have to buy an amp?
freakinfrackintaco 1 year ago
@freakinfrackintaco No it doesn´t
because korg expect that when somebody buy keyboard like this he already have some speakers and of cours he is taking it on concerts.....

From a guy that used to work for korg, do a bit of programming and see what you get

I just noticed that you mirrored the keyboard lol.

He probably is using a iSight camera, that's why it's mirrored.

get software patches of guitars that usually trumps all the regular samples on any board, I think they are sufficent
